Idk why i thought the straps would be wider,, but I put them on my awning anyway. They work GREAT! It's been very windy lately and got these because I got tired of putting the awning up and down and worrying about the wind. Strong wind for 2 days now. When combined with a painters poles it works great, easy to use. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the screw in stakes are a little weak, mine bent from the spring pressure.

I have my awning out 24/7 in texas near dallas. We have very windy times in spring and have only retracted them a few times, a few for snow, but thats rare. These are awesome. They withstand the wind with ease. Sure i get noise from when the wind gets high, but they hold very well. Ive had it one time pull out the anchor, but i think it was not down all the way into the ground. Highly Recomended. ... show more

I used this on my 22' awning. Package contains two sets of straps, springs, and ground anchors. One set is used on each end of your awning to secure it in light to moderate winds. Saw it keep my awning down during a wind gust or two. I would not trust it in high winds or stormy weather. Anchors and springs are of good quality. However the provided straps are constructed of light duty nylon. The connector hooks while stainless steel are also light duty. Hence the three star rating.
