I live on the Oregon coast, which is not known for it's sub-zero temperatures, but it can get below freezing from time to time ... And the wind can be pretty nuts. I ordered this because I didn't really have a coat for winter weather. Well, this definitely fits the bill. While I can't comment on arctic temperatures, I can say it is NOT for a mildly cool day. It snowed here recently, and I was snug as a bug in this. It's super comfortable and soft. I haven't had any issues with the fuzz getting caught in the zipper like I've seen in other reviews.
