It's normal for Ni-MH rechargeable batteries to heat up when charging. This temperature increase is nothing to worry about as there is a built-in temperature protection feature to prevent overheating. Do not remove the batteries if they are warm, wait until they have cooled down before taking them out.

<Edited 5/30/26>I had written my original review on 05/24/26 and put in a request to support just to ask if there was a way to mute the audible notifications. Within that same day (a Sunday no less), I received a response from the PrismXR Service Team informing that although there was no way to mute the notifications, they provided suggestions how to address the issue. Although the suggestions were already being implemented and didn't resolve the issue, the team offered to replace the unit with one without beeping notifications. In less than a week, the team resolved my issue and I am completely satisfied with this replacement now. It has that small footprint I was looking for, it charges all the Quest 3 items without dealing with cables and provides quiet LED notification of its charge status. Absolutely perfect now! Regarding the support though, in a time where companies are trying to push sell products and then might not respond, much less support, products once sold, PrismXR is the outlier showing they do care about their customer satisfaction. The PrismXR Service team went above and beyond to help me in a timely manner and I would definitely recommend and purchase their products again. Thanks again to the team! <Original 5/24/26>I was initially looking forward to this product due to its small footprint and ability to charge everything at once without dealing with cables. The excitement was short lived when finding out the product randomly beeps. I thought it was due to controllers not being properly placed but no. It will charge everything and then out of the blue just start beeping. There have been times that everything was placed correctly and there was no beeping complaints and a couple days later of no use, it starts beeping for no reason. Ive had the product for a couple months now and it’s been an issue since receiving it. If there was a way to just shut the alarm manually with a setting, it might be worth it but I wouldn’t purchase the product again knowing this fault.

Almost everything is perfect for my setup. I installed a headband with aux battery that plugs into the side charging port of the Meta Quest 3 so I really wanted to utilize the bottom charging port instead. The Prismxr Carina D1 allows charging this way so the side port is free for the aux battery lead and I don't need to continuously plug and unplug to charge the headset in the dock. The controllers magnetically lock into proper position once you replace the battery covers and make sure the chargeable batteries are rotated to allow connection for charging. BUT, for some reason when you are storing everything in the Prismx and everything is charged it can have a false disconnection and the attempt to start charging again produces a loud beep every time it attempts to unsuccessfully reconnect, or every 5 seconds or so. It has happened twice with one controller indicating this with the green charge light slowly blinking on and off. Removing and replacing the controller resets the charge cycle. It may be day or more before it happens again randomly. I have researched for other docks that charge using the bottom connector charging and that also magnetically charge the controllers but I have not found one, or anything as nice. It is a shame this defect exists, or why it exists, but others also review having the same problem with the loud beeping due to a false disconnection. Hopefully they will find the problem, correct it, and make a fix available to customers who want to put up with the problem in the meantime.

This dock is so nice to have. I have had a VR headset in one form or another for about four years. This dock/charger gives my headset a place to live. It displays my Meta Quest 3 on my desk and keeps the controllers and headset next and tidy as they all charge. I couldn't be more pleased with this setup. It comes with the main dock, A set os covers and batteries for the controllers and a connecter and guide for attaching it to the headset. It works very well. Great product.

The Carina D1 Lite is a good charger, and their customer service is excellent! I had questions as I began to use the product and I reached out to the company. They were quick to reply and offer feedback and suggestions and ultimately they resolved my concerns. Pros The Carina D1 Lite looks great, doesn't take up much desk area and it protects my headset while charging. The speed of charging seems to be good, for both the headset and the controllers. Again, the manufacturer's support for this product is solid. Cons One of the U-shaped magnets came off of the small part that attaches to the headset, but another one was included. I sometimes have to place the Quest 3 in the dock several times before it will stop flashing amber and green. At random times the dock will start beeping, which requires me to re-dock the headset to stop it. Occasionally, it takes a few tries to get the controllers to start charging. The cons above would normally make me dock a star or two, but the awesome support more than makes up for them. Highly recommended!

Update: The replacement they sent included the wall adapter. It does not charge the controllers. I thought maybe it was the battery so I replaced the batteries with the original that came with the first one, that changed nothing. I have two sets of rechargeable batteries from PRISMXR and all four are now at 10% and will not charge in their replacement dock. I've emailed them and they replied with the typical copy/paste of "clean contacts" and "us adequate charger" to which I've troubleshot well before I even bothered to reach out. We'll see if they stand by their product, will update if necessary. As of now I DO NOT recommend this product. Original: Bought this dock as I wanted to use a Halo Strap with a battery and wanted the USB C for that and not charging. This charges through the pins on the bottom of the headset and charges very quickly. Another reason I chose this dock was because their controller batteries are 1800mAh which is larger than your average rechargeable options for controllers. It included the rechargeable batteries and new battery covers for your controllers which work great. They fit like OEM and the charging is very convenient. The headset and controllers use magnets to align themselves in the dock which is very convenient as you don't have to really look when placing them in the dock. My dock beeped whenever you would place your headset or controller in to charge which I didn't mind. Some people complain but I thought it's convenient to have an audible confirmation of charging without having to look for a solid orange LED every time. Unfortunately my dock would randomly beep after fully charging. I reached out to the seller and they were very quick with offering a replacement stating the newer model does not beep. I agreed as the first time this happened was at 3am, hours after everything was fully charged. The replacement dock arrived very quickly (two days) and I replaced the original with it. So far no beeps and it seems to function exactly as the previous. I'm hoping mine was just a dud cuz having the beep is nice but I wish there had been an option to disable it. Their customer service and support was super quick and very helpful. They had even answered my previous questions about the batteries. It's good to know the support is there when you need them but also the quality of their products are very good. This dock was compatible with the BOBOVR S3 Halo battery strap, BOBOVR F3 interface as well as the Meta Quest 3 Open Interface as they did not interfere with charging. I also purchased their controller straps which are compatible with their docks and use the same recharging system.

Update Review. The company and offered to send a replacement or refund. I decided to try the replacement again because, like I said, I like the design. Small footprint and no worries about the kids knocking it over SO MUCH BETTER! No beeping or connection issues. Fully charges quickly. Love it!! I like the design but will be returning because it keeps randomly beeping. I ordered a replacement but same issue. Changed charger, batteries and still random beeping.

Pretty good product and easy to use. The only problem that I was with it was that it would beep constantly and would wake me up at night. But after disassembling it and literally ripping off the speaker from the motherboard (speaker shown in the picture) it now works perfectly and there's no beeping!

worked great for like a couple days then literally stopped working. Would say it was charging then after 2 days on the charger still 0% and charging. Good charging the controllers though just not the headset at all.
