I have two big dogs who get excited during the day when we leave and need to place them in the cage for an hour or two. These collars did not help at all. We had them placed on the dogs two hours prior to leaving and there is no scent and the dogs acted the same. I bought another calming collar and worked a lot better.

Alas, it did nothing for my hyperactive whirling dervish of a puppy. My other dog is a little more manageable in terms of being aggressive toward other dogs- she's 9 pounds and is barely an amuse bouche, but is reactive. With the calming collar, I can generally redirect her focus 65% of the time.

I'd rather not use drugs to calm my dogs down during fireworks holidays and this works really well. Easy to put on and the scent is pleasant. Calms the dogs really well for about 2 weeks. Very worth while.
