In a few short years the box spring has undergone a major change. I was looking for a think box spring for my bed. Between my old school box spring, the overly thick mattress and a pillow-topper, I was feeling like the embodiment of princess and the pea. My guest room box spring was less than five inches high. I kept seeing metal box springs. I was looking for a four-inch box spring. I ordered it from Amazon after seeing many on-line. It arrived on time, but I was surprised that dismantled, it was heavy. Putting together was not easy. I had some help, but we were not having an easy time of it getting the new box spring assembled. My friend who had helped me had to leave and I finished the work on my own. Since many of these things are designed abroad the pieces (and there are many screws and other devices that need to be connected. After much huffing and puffing I finally got the frame assembled and it works fine. I'm glad my mattress isn't so sky high anymore. Easy instructions in clear English continue to plague many imports from furniture, electric tools, toys, etc. It would be a good idea for pressure to be put on these companies to improve assembly and have the companies that sell to their customers do the arm twisting.
