This thing is a good, deep, easy to assemble cabinet. Worth a buy! There is a critical step that I can CLEARLY see most of the people with hinge/gap problems have screwed up. The directions do not make it clear. The the doors/hinges will not feel sturdy or line up correctly if you mess the one simple thing up. The larger, door-mounted hinges have a small adjustment screw in the middle...screw this in deep before you slide the doors on. The back of the screw has a groove that needs to catch the smaller, cabinet-mounted hinge. The screw comes mostly unscrewed, so the back screw on the cabinet-mounted hinge will catch, but the groove does not catch unless you screw it in further. This is why the doors do not line up on some and why there are negative reviews. ... show more

I bought it despite reading all the negative reviews thinking, some folks have overly high expectations from particle board furniture. I bought this with full intention of keeping it. Few points to note: 1. Door assembly is terrible. It left a large enough gap. I did watch video on manufacturers website but the assembly still left a noticeable gap. The way doors do not sit on the edge but goes on the inside of side panels make it unattractive in person. 2. This is very unstable, only two side touch the ground. Front side it bit too short, even at the edges to make contact with the floor (may be a defective piece) 3. Finish is on the dark side. It does not have texture but pretends to have grains (subjective, I know). It did not look as attractive in person Hope you are able to make an informed decision. Thanks. ... show more

The cabinet is made from MDF, but it's pretty sturdy once you attach it to the wall. The color is as shown. The hinges seem to be a problem. You want to slide the ends of the door hardware into the hinges, don't do that. That is how you get the gap. The hinge piece on the doors goes on the outside of the hinge piece that is attached to the cabinet. Watch this video. I’m glad I picked this even after reading some reviews of others saying there was a gap in the doors. It tells you how to adjust the doors in the instructions so there is no gap. It’s very pretty

IF you manage to spend hours putting this together, only to get to the doors and have the hinges strip right out of the particle board and render the entire cabinet USELESS, you might not notice that the doors are 1/2 inch apart showing the inside of the cabinet and that you can't use it because the hinges come right out of the cabinet since there is nothing to hold them. I'm an digusted with this piece and it's design, but mostly with the ridiculous directions that tell you less than nothing. I now have a $96.00 pile of firewood! Bush, you have NEVER disappointed me so much before today. I will never buy another product of yours. ... show more

The end result will work out great for me. 90% of the assembly instructions were clear as a bell. The door hinge instructions fail miserably. The hinge part on the door goes on top of, not inside of the hinge part on the cabinet. Look at the photos Alex Kwitny posted. Once I saw those my doors went together easily and the finished product worked and looked very good. Too bad Bush does not address this problem. BTW, I could not get the video described in these review to come up nor could I reach Bush at the publicized 1-800 number. ... show more

The only thing I like was color, and the size for my space. This product needs to be taken off market. There are not many things I can't put together and this cabinet went together well until installation of the doors. The doors are made to small for type of hinges included in this kit. There was a gap over one inch after installed. I did not like the gap. So I went to Home Depot and bought small regular hinges and a magnet latch and installed them and now the doors match and no one inch gap. To make this cabinet doors work and look better the manufacture needs to change type of hinges included in kit. ... show more

This pantry cabinet was exactly what we needed for our extra drinks that usually sat on the floor against the wall in the dining Room. It has a beautiful espresso finish and was packaged nicely and shipped without any damage. I read the reviews in detail before putting it together so I had no problem with my doors and hinges and found the directions to be pretty clear. I am a 30 year old female who has put together a handful of furniture before but not super handy and it was doable in 2 hours. The only problem I ran into was that once everything was put together the doors seemed slightly crooked. It would have made the most sense to hammer on the backing after putting the doors on so that I could make sure everything was straight before I secured the backing. Unfortunately, In The attempt to remove the backing with a small crowbar it tore in many pieces. I wound up having to go to lowes and buy a new and thicker piece of backing for $8 a $5 can of spray paint to match the furniture. This is not the fault of the instructions but it would have been helpful to have left the backing as the last step to ensure sturdiness. In the end everything turned out very nice and I am happy with this piece of furniture. ... show more
