  • Good refrigerator if you are looking for a minimum of 38 degrees
Size: 24 Inch Beverage Cooler(140-180 can)
I contacted the seller, and the customer service was outstanding - they quickly and efficiently resolved my issue with friendly service. I was looking for a refrigerator that would cool beverages down to 34 degrees and the Ca'Lefort refrigerator's specifications indicated that it had the ability to cool to 34 degrees. However, after plugging in the refrigerator and letting it cool for a couple of days (at a temperature setting of 34 degrees), the temperature of the beverages did not feel as cold as I had expected. As a result, I purchased a refrigerator thermometer to check the temperature, and as indicated by the pictures (attached) the lowest temperature that I could reach was between 38 and 40 degrees. Wondering if there was something that I could adjust to reach 34 degrees, I wrote an email to Ca'Lefort requesting their assistance. As it turns out, per Ca'Lefort, 38 degrees is within the "acceptable range" and there is nothing that can be done to reach the desired temperature. (I have attached my correspondence with Ca'Lefort below for your review). I should note that the refrigerator is very good looking and extremely quiet. ******My Original Message to Ca'Lefort****** My beverage refrigerator is set to 34 degrees; however, the temperature will not drop below 40 degrees (It was delivered on January 25th). Is there something that can be done to adjust the temperature, or do I need to get a replacement refrigerator? Thanks for your help. ****** Ca'Lefort's First Response ******* Thank you for reaching out to us. We are happy to assist you with your concern. We regret to hear about your disappointment with the refrigeration effect of our product. As Ca'lefort brand, we are committed to delivering superior performance to keep your items cool, but we understand that various factors can influence its effectiveness in different environments and conditions. However, we recognize your expectations and want to address possible reasons affecting the cooling performance: Ambient Temperature: High ambient temperatures can impact the cooler's ability to maintain cool temperatures effectively. Item Placement: Proper arrangement of items within the cooler is crucial to ensure adequate air circulation, which directly affects cooling efficiency. Frequency of Door Openings: Excessive opening and closing of the freezer door can lead to loss of cold air and affect overall refrigeration. Please also let me explain the working principle of compressor cooling: The compressor compresses the refrigerant, transforming it into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas. This gas is then cooled by the condenser to become a high-pressure liquid. It is depressurized and cooled by a throttle valve into a low-temperature, low-pressure gas-liquid mixture, which enters the evaporator to absorb heat and provide refrigeration. This cycle continuously maintains a low temperature inside the refrigerator. however, this cyclic refrigeration process causes the temperature in different areas of the refrigerator to vary greatly. For example, the temperature is typically lowest at the innermost section and gradually increases towards the door and bottom. Therefore, measuring the temperature in just one location may not provide a complete picture of the fridge's performance. To better assess the overall cooling, we recommend measuring the average temperature at three locations: near the door, the middle section, and the innermost part. Could you kindly share how you measured the temperature, and what specific readings you observed? and send the pictures to us. This information will help us better understand the situation and assist you further. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation in this matter. We look forward to resolving this for you! Best regard Ca'Lefort Team **************My second response to Ca'Lefort********** Dear Ca’Lafort Team, I purchased the refrigerator because its cooling specifications indicated that it could cool down to 34 degrees. After it had been operating for several days (at a setting of 34 degrees), I noticed the drinks were not as cold as I expected. I then purchased a refrigerator thermometer to measure the actual temperature inside the refrigerator which showed a temperature of 40 degrees (I also used a digital thermometer which corroborated the results). Attached is a picture of the thermometer in two different locations (middle and back), as well as the temperature settings indicator. Thank you for your help with this issue. *********Ca'Lefort's second response****** Thank you for sharing those temperature details and photos with us! Your cooperation and amicable communication have been greatly appreciated during this process. It's customers like you who make our work fulfilling, and we're fortunate to have your support. Regarding the Refrigerator Temperature: We understand your concern about the refrigerator not reaching the set temperature. The temperature is from the top down, the temperature is lowest at the innermost part of the refrigerator box. Therefore, measuring the temperature in just two locations may not provide a complete picture of the fridge's performance. For a more precise measurement, please follow these steps: Place the Thermometer: Position the thermometer inside the wine fridge in the three specific areas (near the door, the middle section, and the innermost part) shown in the reference image. Close the Door: Make sure to close the door fully while measuring, as this helps avoid fluctuations due to external air. Timing: For the most accurate reading, please wait until the compressor has just stopped running before measuring the temperature in each area, and check if the internal fan is running at that time. Photograph: Take photos of the thermometer in each area with the door closed, and include the control panel display showing the temperature setting ( 34°F). This information will help us accurately verify the cooling performance and determine the best way to assist you. Thank you for your cooperation, and please let us know if you have any questions about the process. We look forward to receiving your reply soon. Have a blessed day. Ca'Lefort Team ******* My Third Response******** Dear Ca’Lafort Team, Attached are the photos you requested. Regards, ******Ca'Lefort's third response***** Hope everything goes well! Thanks for your kind efforts to assist us to address the issue. From the photos, I can know the average temperature at 38°F, while the fridge is set to 34°F. As a reference, industry standards allow a temperature fluctuation of approximately 4°F for this type of fridge due to the nature of air circulation and the placement of items within the fridge. I’d like to clarify that the best time to measure the fridge’s internal temperature is immediately after the compressor has completed a cooling cycle. When the compressor is running, as in your current reading of 38°F, the temperature may continue to decrease slightly. I’d also suggest checking the door seal to ensure it’s completely intact, as an incomplete seal can sometimes impact temperature consistency. To expedite a solution for you, your refrigerator appears to be cooling as expected. I’d be happy to apply for a $40 refund from the company as a gesture of goodwill. Would this solution be acceptable to you? If yes, may I ask if the original payment method for your order is still valid? This money will be returned to your original payment method. Thank you for your cooperation, and please let me know how you’d like to proceed. Best regards, Ca'Lefort team *****My Fourth Response****** Dear Ca’Lefort Team, I have spent quite a bit of time kneeling in front of my new refrigerator and watching the temperature gage through the entire compressor cycle, and the refrigerator only hit 38 degrees in the back position, at the completion of the compressor cycle. Additionally, the door seal is in very good condition (new) and there is no noticeable air leaking through the seal. I would imagine that the intent of a 34 degree refrigerator is to reach a temperature of 34 degrees at some point during the cycle? There has to be something more we can do to address this issue? Please advise. Regards, *********Ca'Lefort's Fourth response******* Thank you for your detailed observations and for taking the time to test your new refrigerator. We truly appreciate your patience and effort in helping us understand the issue better. Based on your description, here are a few suggestions to further diagnose and address the temperature concern: To ensure accurate readings: after the compressor stops (when the refrigerator is idle), wait a few minutes until it restarts. Once the compressor begins running again, monitor the temperature gauge at the back of the refrigerator during this new cycle. This will help determine if the temperature drops closer to the intended 34°F during active cooling. Usage Adjustments: Ensure the refrigerator is not overloaded, as this can affect airflow and cooling efficiency. Check that the vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked by food items, as this can restrict cold air circulation. We are committed to ensuring your refrigerator performs as expected. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to resolving this matter promptly. Best regards, Ca'Lefort team *******My Fifth response******* Dear Ca’Lefort Team, As I indicated in my previous email, I have repeatedly observed the temperature inside the refrigerator on a continuous basis, over a long period of time. The temperature never drops below 38 degrees, and that only happens in the back by the fan, at the end of the compressor cycle. In all other areas of the refrigerator it is 39-40 degrees on a continuous basis. Clearly there is a problem with the refrigerator itself? Regards, ******Ca'Lefort's Fifth response****** Thank you for providing detailed observations about your refrigerator’s temperature. We sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work to clarify the situation. Technical Explanation: Our refrigerators are designed to maintain a default temperature of 34°F (±4°F) during normal operation, meaning temperatures between 30°F and 38°F are within the acceptable range. Additionally: 1. Temperature Fluctuations: The compressor operates in cycles (cooling → resting → restarting). During the cooling phase, temperatures may temporarily drop to the lower end of the range (e.g., 32-34°F), while the resting phase may allow a gradual rise to the upper limit (up to 38°F). 2. Location Variations: Temperature differences between zones (e.g., near the fan vs. door shelves) are normal due to airflow patterns. The back area typically stabilizes closest to the target temperature. Your Observations: Based on your measurements (38°F near the fan and 39-40°F elsewhere), the unit appears to operate within specifications near the cooling source. However, we recognize that temperatures in other zones slightly exceed the expected upper threshold. Next Steps to Resolve: To ensure your complete satisfaction, we’d like to offer: 🔹 I’d be happy to apply for a $50 refund from the company as a gesture of goodwill. 🔹 Return Option: Should you wish to proceed with a return, our prepaid pickup service remains available immediately upon your confirmation. Please let us know how you’d like to proceed. We’re committed to resolving this promptly. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Ca'Lefort team *******My Sixth response***** Dear Ca’Lefort Team, How does the prepaid pickup work? Regards, ******Ca'Lefort's Sixth response***** Hope everything goes well! To initiate the return process, we kindly request you to provide us with the following information: 1. Pictures of the original carton and the refrigerator. Please carefully repackage the item to ensure it arrives back in good condition for resale. Your help is much appreciated! 2. Could you please provide us with your shipping address again? (including phone) Then we'll make an appointment for a Courier to pick up your package from your home. 3. By the way, what time would be convenient for you? the carrier working time is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I hope you are satisfied with my customer service. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Looking for your reply! Have a nice day Ca'Lefort Team ******End of Conversation****** ... show more

  • Sophisticated fridge with lots of storage
The media could not be loaded. After a few impromptu gatherings that lacked wine served at the right temperature, I finally took the plunge to invest in a wine refrigerator to keep my small collection of red, white, rosé, and sparkling. I decided on the Ca'Lefort Wine and Beverage Refrigerator because of its clean and sophisticated design along with a dual temperature zone for beverages and wine. Since my kitchen is not currently being renovated, I have it freestanding near my bar cart but I checked and the dimensions are perfect to fit underneath a standard height kitchen counter or island. The simple lines and modern design -- stainless steel French doors with grey tinted glass -- make it look just as attractive and a statement piece freestanding near the wet bar. The Ca'Lefort Wine and Beverage Refrigerator can fit about 60 cans of beverages (i.e we pack it with soda and fruit juice) on the left, which we set to 36 degrees F, and about 21 bottles of 750ml wine set to 52 degrees on the right. If you want to fit larger bottles like champagne, it's possible to temporarily remove one of the six wood trays to make space. I have been using it a lot more than I anticipated and am happy to report that there's practically no detectable noise coming from the cooling unit. Another pro for the fridge is the grey glass that blocks out most of the sunlight to keep a stable temperature for the wine. The touch panel behind the glass doors make it easy to adjust temperatures to your liking and customize the LED lighting (Soft White, Deep Blue, and Retro Amber). I usually have the lights off but when guests are over, it's nice to turn it on to create a nice inviting atmosphere. Overall, I definitely recommend this wine fridge for wine lovers or anyone who needs more space to store drinks. ... show more

  • French door under counter wine/drink fridge
Size: 24 Inch Beverage Cooler(60 can+20 bottle)
The fridge is very nice and looks great in our kitchen. The temperature has been set to 37F but it fluctuates between 37-41F. The manufacturer said that the fluctuations are normal if it’s + or - 5 degrees. I love that it holds a lot of drinks and has freed up precious space in my main fridge for food. I would’ve given it 5 stars if not for the fact that the temperature control panel on the right side was not working as it didn’t even turn on. The right door was also almost 1/2 inch higher than the left. Customer service was 5 stars from the beginning. They explained how we can fix both issues. After spending over 10 hours of explaining the issues, sending pictures as proof, taking apart both control panels and both doors, and troubleshooting the unit is working within the manufacturer’s specifications. I can’t say enough about how helpful and prompt customer service has been. ... show more
