Reported to Amazon and they said they could only send me a replacement of the unit and remote (not the remote only). Received the replacement, and again-the remote does not work. Reported to Amazon and again, they said they could only send me a replacement of the unit AND remote. This is a hassle because it means returning 2 huge boxes that I will have to take to the UPS store, if I want to try a 3rd time. The unit is fine, but without a remote control, it should cost less than $200! This is ridiculous and I’m considering giving up Prime membership because of it. Put batteries in the remote correctly and the indicator light doesn’t even come on. UPDATED: the remote is working with new unit and the purchase was eligible for free return pick up from home; happy now. Love that the body is simply black with no digital display or logo. Providing nice heat for a 150 SF area. Quiet. Suggest you test the remote before attaching feet, but definitely don’t test the heat function in direct contact with any surface; it does get hot to touch and needs clearance. So far, so good. The media could not be loaded. The fireplace is a delight to have in my home. The heater works well, but takes a long time to make a difference in the room, however, I sit directly across from it and the fan is strong enough where I feel the warmth. The fireplace itself is nice, but their picture show it with flames coming off the top of the logs. As you can see by my video, it does not. (I got a partial refund for this). The smoke going up is nice though, and I really do enjoy watching that. It has two power buttons and two controls on it. The main power button controls the fireplace part. That can run independently of the heater. However the heater cannot run independently of the fireplace. The heater power button is behind a small door so it cannot accidentally be turned on. There is a knob to control the brightness of the fireplace and another knob for the heat. The heat knob can be placed all the way to the warmest, and when the room reaches the temperature you’d like it to be, simply turn down the knob until it turns off. It is really very good at keeping the level where you want it. As this is not a true thermostat, this needs to be done each time. Overall, I find this makes the room quite cozy and comfortable. The seller told me they really do have the flame effect but it depends on voltage. You can only plug it directly into the wall, so there should be no problem in that area in mine. This woodstove is an awesome supplemental heat for us. The fire is incredibly realistic looking for what it is and seeing the fire from the side of the stove is a real bonus! Great replacement for the one that died that I loved so much! Happy I chose this product. Only negative for us is I prefer when the remotes beep when you depress a button because it can be difficult to know if it has responded to your command. ... show more

The unit itself is nice looking. I especially like the mesh vs plastic door. Actual unit is made of metal, but the lower part of the unit is made of plastic. Upon delivery, there was a dent on top, the legs were not hard to attach, but very ackward, and the screen door was loose. The one feature that I do not like is when you only use the flame feature, the light bulb used shines through and the heating element is very noticeable and is illuminated and casts a shadow, which takes away from the ambiance of just using the flame feature. All in all, still thinking about sending it back. I believe the price is too high for what you got. ... show more

We really like this heater to help my husband keep warm even during the summer. He can't get warm unless he uses four lap blankets on his feet and this heater allows him to be cold feet-free.

Needed something that I could sit on the side of my chair to blow warm air on a old dog ❤ Works great. Smaller then I though it would be but my fault for not measuring. GREAT COMPANY. The first one was taken off my porch. They sent a replacement within a few days. Thank you so much!!!

We ordered this for our master bedroom, but it only worked twice before it quit working. The seller was very responsive in resolving the issue, and I’m looking forward to a replacement. 4 stars only because the first item didn’t work, but again, seller made everything right. By the way, it is attractive and fits perfectly in a large master bedroom with a rustic decor. When we had it on, it put out the right amount of warmth for the room as well. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great little heater for the money, supplements the heat in our living room nicely. The only disappointment… its just a bit small. I also like seeing the fire from the sides. The adjustable flame features, heat timer, very pleased with the heater.
