Personally I loved these little grow pots, a great way to start some plants! The Christmas basil grew very fast and moved to a bigger pot within two weeks. The spruce took longer to germinate but every seed sprouted and so it too moved to a bigger home. The Aloe took the longest of the three but it eventually broke through! I've bought all the sets despite a lot of reviews saying theirs never grew, but I wonder if they gave them enough time. Seeds germinate at different speeds, especially drought plants like Aloe and Cacti (cacti can take up to three months!) After a full month, I have my first cactus sprout! I have a bad history with keeping plants alive so if I can do it, you can too! Just give each species its own time to grow! All but one (strawberry) has grown, so I am happy with the various sets. ... show more

These little peppermint planters are adorable and make a great thought gift. They took me a minute to review because I wanted to make the seeds were actually good and you could get a viable plant- and they sure did work! I admit, I only bought this product to get my hands on Aloe Vera seeds (which were/are hard to find). The 6 terracotta mini pots are cute but they are a waste of money and time. First of all, they don't have an opening in the bottom, so unless you plan to drill a tiny hole the drainage is horrible. Seeds and seedlings will either up sitting in too much moisture or dry soil (as you aren't sure if there is water in the bottom of that cute little pot). As most people know, growing herbs/plants from seeds can be challenging. Sprouting the seeds is usually the easiest step but then it quickly becomes more difficult. Avoiding "leggy" seedlings can be tough unless you know what you are doing and you got plenty of light to work with. These tiny pots will hardly provide enough soil and nutrients to grow strong seedlings. Even under great conditions, the seedlings that grow in these tiny pots will hardly grow to a size strong enough to get transplanted and survive the shock. FYI: two of the Aloe Vera seedlings germinated, so I am cool with that. ... show more
