  • Great when you have walking problems....
Size: 18 Inch Color: Purple
I've wanted one for a long time and finally got one.. Great investment.... I took it when I visited my son in Colorado and we had much fun. I was able to go up to the ski lift at Purgatory and got to ride around on the land he recently purchased. It's a great machine. At the ski life I would not have been able to enjoy the trip as the parking lot was full and we had to park a long way from the entrance.. Then even after entering so much walking was involved.. I would not have been able to do it... I'm glad I chose Buzzaround!!!! ... show more

  • A stable ride
Size: 18-Inch Seat Color: Red
I had a three wheeler which I was not comfortable with because it felt tipsy. with this new scooter I absolutely love it. the only problem that I have with it is turning is a little more to do it . will take me two or three times to turn to a left or a right because it is limited but I don't mind it because the ride is good my back does not hurt anymore and it's a very comfortable ride ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 20 Inch Color: Red and Blue Colored Panels Included
Used it for a full week at Universal Orlando. Even saw me through Halloween Horror Nights after doing the park all day. Have not really run into an operational issue. Be aware that the parts are heavy though, but not so heavy that they cannot be managed. The largest single part can be a bit unwieldy which also happens to be the heaviest part. ... show more

  • Great Scooter for all day use
Size: 18-Inch Seat Color: Red
There are some good things about this scooter: a) the arm rests are both adjustable and removable (in fact we actually like it better without the arms and as a suggestion to Golden, ***we wish there was an alternate style of cane holder for attaching in the armrest receiver instead), b) the control panel is easy to understand and work, c) you can put the scooter in neutral to maneuver it someplace out of the way if the battery overloads and has to rest for 5 minutes befor resetting the breaker switch, d) the location of the charger port on the tiller doesn't necessitate much in the way of bending over as it is on the left under the control panel, e) it comes with two colors of plastic shrouds so if you don't feel like driving a red scooter or if something gets damaged you can switch to blue, f) the seat is roomy and comfy ( I see no need to purchase an upgraded seat for this scooter) and it pivots for easy access or use by a table, g) it has more clearnce and longer battery life than any other scooter we looked at. I am told it should do well on relatively level hard packed trails at the national park (I will come back to this and add more once I test that theory but that is what the company told me) We have already tested it at the San Diego Zoo where it took even the steep path through tiger trail without a problem, h) the battery life was great for both of the all day excursions we have gone on (zoo and a local festival), i) there is a receiver on the back of the seat to mount a cane holder or O2 tank holder or additional basket (purchased separately), j) and, you can set top speed to less than the maximum of which the scooter is capable if you wish. Some drawbacks: While my husband loves the scooter, you should be aware that... a) Unlike the Buzzaround XL model, you can't simply take out the batteries and bring them inside to charge at an outlet in addition to plugging in the charging cord to the scooter under the tiller handle to charge the batteries. You must bring the entire assembled scooter inside to the outlet in order to charge the batteries. This is somewhat inconvenient for a scooter that is primarily for outdoor use. ***My suggestion to Golden engineers is that they really need to make a docking unit to plug the batteries into so you can leave everything but the batteries in the car. (like the one you put your iPhone into) We would totally buy one, b) The maximum degree of incline you can drive up is 6 degrees...but know that the instructions say you really shouldn't drive up or back down a ramp of any kind which includes to the platform you may want for transporting it on the back of your car if you need your trunk space for anything besides the scooter, c) Yes, it does break down into smaller parts for loading into your car. However, even the batteries individually are way heavy...the largest piece of the scooter is about 46 pounds and the lightest is 22. It is enough weight that my husband's bad back dictates that this scooter isn't for short shopping trips unless we break down and get that rear cargo carrier for loading it on the back of the vehicle, that we were hoping to avoid, and kind of makes the feature of breaking down into smaller pieces moot, d) Have no illusion about it's compactness for when you do break it down to put it in a trunk space. Even broken apart, it is going to occupy the entire trunk of our Prius and we had to really work at getting an arrangement that would allow for this (note comment on how to make it fit in the question section), e) Also, note that the battery range is based on a 200 pound load even though they claim total load weight of passenger and any items combined can be up to 330lbs....so don't be surprised if your range varies from the 16 miles quoted, d) Finally, the batteries aren't even a little charged when it arrives so assemble it near an outlet to charge it (12 hour charging time at least the first time by the way) and the delivery will only be to the curbside not inside your home or apartment. All in all I think any disadvantages of this scooter will be outweighed by the the positives as it will allow for all day outdoor excursions again. It is comfortable and easy to drive. We are looking forward to using it along the path that skirts the south rim of the Grand Canyon and at Disneyland and the zoo. (Note: items marked above with *** are suggestions to the manufacturing engineers, should they ever read the comments, and are not things the scooter has currently) ... show more

  • It's early but she likes it
Size: 20 Inch (Pack of 1) Color: Purple
We purchased this to enable my wife to enjoy family vacations and normal shopping. We have only used it once for about 6 hours at Sea World. It had plenty of scoot and she wore me out trying to keep up. The battery monitor still showed all lights so no idea how much longer we could have gone nor how fast the battery depletes once that first green light goes out. It charged back up in about 2 hours after that use. She liked the comfort that the coil spring suspension provided and she appreciated the larger seat that we added. I appreciated that it broke down into so many pieces to loading and unloading. A couple of points to really consider: #1--I was surprised at how large the boxed product was. I guess I should not have been, but I was. I used a two-wheeled dolly to get ours into the house as there was no other way for me to move it on my own. So, you will need human or mechanical assistance to move this off your sidewalk where the freight carrier leaves it. #2--It does have a long turn radius. This would be a tough go inside your home unless it is large with minimal furniture. #3--There could be a little more leg room. That would, however, require a design change of the tiller that would create other problems for an ECV of this size. Overall, we like it based on our brief use. But I expect it to get much more as the summer progresses. ... show more

  • Great scooter, instructions need some work
Size: 20 Inch (Pack of 1) Color: Purple
I was looking for a scooter that I could use around our country home - this one is great - has enough power to do our (relatively shallow) slopes and enough clearance to get over lumpy ground. The scooter was shipped right away and arrived in good shape. My only complaints have to do with the paperwork that came with the scooter. Nowhere in the paperwork was SpinLife Wheelchairs (the seller) identified as the person to call if you have questions. This meant that I wasted 1/2 hour trying to get help from the manufacturer. It would be very easy for SpinLife to include a piece of paper with the customer service phone number on it. The reason I needed help was that I could not get the seat to lock into place - it just swiveled freely. When I finally reached the tech person at SpinLife, he told me you have to keep the swivel lever pulled up when you install the seat or it won't lock into place. The assembly instructions need to be changed to tell customers that. In addition, the battery instructions should be changed to make it clear you can't leave the scooter plugged in the whole time it is not in use without damaging the battery. If I hadn't asked that question, I'd have left it plugged in all the time because the battery instruction manual says it is a "fully automatic" charger, which I assumed meant it would turn itself off when the battery was fully charged. ... show more
