  • I LOVE THESE BINOCULARS!!!
These are great! Straight out of the box, I used them immediately! I could see birds eating, hugely magnified like they were close by. I couldn't even see them with my naked eyes! I don't understand any of the negative reviews. They must have gotten lemons. I'm sure most of the binos are not lemons. Maybe something happened to their binos in transit. I don't know, but I'm so happy with these! They focus easily and with great clarity! True 20x magnification. I know because I've been using 12x42 binos and these seem to magnify twice as much as the other pair. The price is fantastic! They're easy to grasp. Not too big or heavy and I'm a petite woman with small hands. I strongly recommend these binoculars! ... show more

  • Not great for birding - maybe good for sports or concerts?
I bought these thinking I could up my birding game. I already have a set of Bushnell 10X50's. I figured doubling the magnification was a good idea. I was wrong. The binoculars themselves are well built and decent quality for the price. Unfortunately, the 20 X 50 has too narrow a field of view to be very useful. Because physics being what it is, you need a fairly bright scene to resolve the image clearly. These might be useful for sports or concerts, but in my opinion, not terribly useful for birdwatching. Stick with 8-12 x 50 for that purpose. ... show more

  • Took a chance on refurbed, was pleasantly surprised
Bushnell used to be one of the best sporting optical brands, but at some point they went downhill. After a bad experience with a pair of binoculars that had terrible, blurry image quality, double-vision and an inability to actually correctly focus on anything I returned them to the store, and swore off the brand. But years later needing a pair of binoculars that didn't cost a small fortune for a trip, I took a chance on one of the no-name Chinese pairs on Amazon. Turned out to be crap, which I suspected anyway. I then went looking again and found these refurbished for the same price. I took another chance. Ordered these, and returned the Chinese ones. The pair I got was in outstanding condition. They looked almost new except the neck strap was already tied on (and whoever did it did a better job than I would've), a smudge on one of the objective lenses, and a small scratch on the other. I didn't even notice the scratch at first. For half the price of a new pair, I'll take it. Image quality was great, focusing was perfect, and the adjustments for the body were tight and not loose. I can't say if Bushnell's quality has gotten better (some of the reviews suggest it hasn't), or if I just lucked out with a good pair, but I'm happy with the refurbed pair I bought. ... show more

  • Probable Defect
I'm unsure whether the pair I received suffered from a manufacturing defect that quality control failed to flag, or they're just poorly designed (the former seems more likely) -- but in any event, they are unusable. The optics aren't calibrated properly in either scope, it's impossible to generate a single image, and I go cross-eyed when trying to use them. It's a shame, because I ordered a pair of Bushnell 10x50's at a similar price-point about 5 years ago, and they're fantastic. I think the lesson learned is if you really want to kick it up to high magnification optics, you've got to make a more considerable investment. ... show more

  • Binoculars
Work fine but like the reviews say the higher the power you buy the harder they are to hold steady.

  • Good solid value for the price.
For the money these glasses are great. Easy to adjust, clear and functional.

  • Broken after a few uses
They are very clear and rely bring objects into close view but they broke very quickly now the eye pieces don't move together
