I bought this in 2022! Just burned myself while cooking and hurt so badly. I had it in water for 2 hours and the pain would not go away. I found the burn shield as i became desperate. Thank God, after putting it on my burns were soothed. I wrapped it up with cling wrap and Im happy again.

I don’t usually write reviews but, I had a pretty good burn to the back of my wrist due to engine manifold while changing oil. I ordered this and payed extra to get it next day. This cools the burn and stops the sting almost instantly. I don’t know what’s in it but it works great! I would definitely recommend using it for burns!

I can see this benefit burn victims, but let's say 15% of the body is burned, that would equate about 25-30 packages to cover this most painful of all burns, at 2nd degree. The market for such is minimal. Small burns at home, it might suffice, but they need at least 12x12 inch sheets. It's on the market to quickly which usually means company is short on funding.

I got a burn from the lip and side of a hot pan hitting my arm. Nearly all the skin came off, so 2nd degree burn. None of the OTC silver gels were relieving the pain. Anything with lidocaine just hurt. Then, when I tried this, it felt like all of the heat and pain was replaced by a cooling layer of gel. I was pain free for an hour or so and then needed to keep doing wound maintenance, and I could finally sleep comfortably. By the next day, I already had a lot of skin closing the wound. I will now keep this stuff in my first aid kit and bring it camping. This stuff is awesome. I’m not a doctor, but this worked for me. I highly recommend it for burns and wounds.

This stuff is pretty amazing. I ordered a TON of stuff to deal with a severe second degree burn I got on my arm from a hot baking pan. The wound got infected and I had to go antibiotics and everything. Nothing was healing the wound and I was having a hard time with that slough material that kept developing (necrotic tissue that forms in the wound bed and has to be debrided for the wound to heal. I tried all kinds of things but found this product healed the wound faster than anything else I tried. It also didn't stick to the wound when I would change out the dressing like most other things I tried. It's a bit messy to work with (it's really saturated), but I will always keep these on hand if I get burned again. It not only sped up the healing but it was extremely cooling and soothing to the wound. If I could only have one thing on hand for burns, this would be it.
