Mederma is one of those treatments where patience is key—you won't see an overnight miracle. I've used it on both old and new scars (not on my face), and over time, I've noticed that it does seem to lighten them - just not completely. I'm a bit accident-prone, so I have lots of scratches, bug bites, and small cuts, and this gel helps reduce the appearance of those everyday marks.     • If you're expecting a scar, buy this (but buy the smaller tube)
I wish I wasn't too tired/lazy to add pics. Foot surgery, thick slice the length of my foot, 3 mos later you can hardly see a scar. My Sis had older scars that took awhile longer, but those too almost completely faded.

The gel is a bit runny and thin and doesn’t stay on the scar tissue as well as I would like. Maybe the ointment is a little thicker. The gel is more expensive as well.
