If you’re thinking about it. Buy it. This trailer is built like a tank and handles amazingly. I bought ours in the spring of 2020, yeah, that spring. Since that time I’ve put at least a thousand miles in mine. It takes two kiddos, with cargo, and anything you might need on long rides and snacks for short rides. The little flag fell off mine but I attached a garmin radar and I feel much safer. I’ve hit speeds of 30mph with no vibrations, eats up bumps, and knowing it has a roll cage really puts me at ease. If I take it on a trail I’ll put helmet on the kids. Basically, it allows me to leave the house for some exercise and take the two smallest kiddos along for the ride. We love the trailer, the kids never complain about the ride when I hit bumps like they did with the burley honey bee. Our main complaint is the handle is constantly falling down when using it as a stroller and you always have to move it back up, it’s not strong enough to pop the front wheels off the ground the handle just collapses down. The honey bee handle doesn’t collapse down as easy. I use it mostly as a bicycle trailer so I’m not even going to take a star off for that because it’s an awesome trailer. We received this cub x by burley yesterday, so it’s an early on review. Out of the box it was easy to assemble. We started it in stroller mode and went for a walk, you can easily control it one handed if need be and with a almost 2 year old I could wheelie it with 1 finger.Very well balanced. Connecting it with the piece that goes to the bike took seconds, as my trek has a quick disconnect style axle. Hooked the trailer up and took off. You almost can’t tell it’s connected to the bike. At first I was upset that my husband bought this when I deliberately told him no because we had our stroller and this was too pricey. But now we use this all the time! I haven’t touched our (very good) stroller and a long time. My son has so much space in there, we have so much space to put his diaper bag in the back plus more, and the ride is just so smooth for everyone! I love the added sun protection this has all around. We are thinking of decking it out w LED light la for him and buying a portable fan for hot days :) ... show more

The trailer itself is good very durable however once I set it up right out of the box and sat my daughter in it and went on the bike trail with my husband and older child the ride was great and smooth for my little one it started to rain and in the way back the hook broke up as well as the safety strap😮 during a rain storm in the middle of the bike trail my husband and scattered and looked for the screw and bolt it came with and found them on the ground and thank goodness for kind people who bikes to their home nearby and brought us back a tool to re-tighten it........but what a huge disappointment BURLEY this was not only dangerous with a child who was supposed to be securely attached to my bike but what if I was going up a hill and this happened with my daughter I would have sued the company my daughter would have rolled all the way down the hill stuck in the burley.........this was the very very first use straight out of the box.........it’s been fixed since then by myself and my husband but am traumatized and every bike ride I bring tools in the back and constantly stop on bike trails just to check if the bolts are tightened but this should not have to be a parents/customers concern with a product such as the burley......sadly when I opened it I broke and ripped up the boxes and threw it in the trash so I can’t even return and this product is not to far away from $1000 am so disappointed in Burley in this dangerous defect ... show more

    • Hurts the wallet but we love it

This was a product totally out of our budget but I am not having buyers remorse. The kids love riding in this while we walk, go to the store, or ride the bike. It replaced all of the strollers we had. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old.

The Cub X is definitely the way to go. Fits the kids well, handles all the terrain, super smooth all around. The jogger wheel and cup holders were also must-have additions. We love it!
