Was a little hesitate on this purchase because I usually don't buy items off amazon this pricey & more of a DYI guy...but man is this thing AWESOME! When I was looking around I didn't like the typical dog carriers because the 'enclosure' idea due seemed like heat trouble & lack of view for my boy 'Hoops' was discouraged - rigging this up seemed like an alternative to those cons. With a few additions after assembly the dream was achieved, now my 13yr old bud and I have cracked up a lot of people in the neighborhood. (especially when I turn on the rope lights tied along the trailer frame on at night hehe) I've had the trailer for two months now so figured that was long enough to form a decent opinion. The product itself: - Putting together was mostly smooth, instructions could have been a little clearer but if you're comfortable with tools you'll be fine [hex bolt alert - go get the bit to speed things up] - When securing the 'spring axles' for tires do not overexert! I did, snapped the clip, and impaled my hand with exposed end. But now I've got a cool hand scar so...yeah sure go for it! (kidding.) - When you fasten attachment 'clip' to bike make sure the red button isn't pressed against the bottom of your seat, this can release the connection and leave the trailer behind.....not that I know what that's like or anything... - Another note on attachment: How high your bike seat is will determine the slope in the trailer 'bed.' Since my cruiser bike is on the lower side, the bed leans forward - but with my travel bike it's level since the seat is higher (really just an aside for pet's comfort in travel haha) - The 'weak point' of the assembly is the bottom nut that fastens the attachment arm to trailer body beneath the trailer bed. Go ahead and replace the bolt they give you with a longer thread, that's what I ended up having to do because I wore through the 'stock' one in about a month. - As for driving, don't get overconfident from onlookers and bank too hard around a corner. The location of attachment arm presents the opportunity for trailer to flip and dump out items in such a situation...not that I know what that's like or anything... Otherwise this is a great purchase! :) Just go ahead and get it if you have an remote interest haha ... show more

Due to a vision issue, I no longer dirve and am bostly relieant on my mikes. Overall I am content with the functionality and design and studiness of this trailer. ONE MAJOR FRISTRATON - the quick release coupling that attaches to the accesory on the seat post is VERY WEAK and fails / relases with little load. I solve the problem with looping bungee cords to keep the cart from detaching. ALSO ... like with my other carrier I wanted to accessorize my other bike to use the trailer intercangably, but am unable to find parts. ... show more

    • Hitch bad design
Seems to be exactly what I needed. Great cart but hitch comes off at the slightest bump with no emergency straps as all others have. This caused me more damage than 10 carts at the price I paid. Now I'm being sued for damages to another vehicle because it came off. Not to mention my losses with my computer I was hauling moving into my new house. I'm very disappointed in this product. Would like to be reimbursed for damages for faulty craftsmanship ... show more

Easy to put together 👍 Just this right size and strength for off week groceries. Pull it with my Lectric Trike 14 miles round trip to grocery store every other week for small shopping! Awesome little trailer. I taped the quick disconnect clamps to keep them from rattling 😂😂 much quieter ride 👍

This trailer does what I needed it to do but cheapest material construction is defines this trailer. As far as portability and "fold down" for storage. Not unless you carry the required tools with you and that's always fun on a bike ride! The strut/handle that goes from the seat post down to the trailer is extremely flimsy unless you bolt it to the front cross section of the trailer. I added wingnuts to help with disassembly if I need to fold the trailer completely down for storage. I will keep the trailer and use it but I won't be buying this again if needed. ... show more

As noted by others the instructions are very terse. Assembly however is very straight forward, had it together in about 45 minutes including the "figuring it out" factor. Of note, the seat post on my mountain bike is thicker than the trailer hitch was meant for and it was somewhat difficult to get both bolts started because of the length of the bolts too short by a couple millimeters. Had to omit the lock washer on one bolt to have enough thread to get the other bolt started. The trailer tongue clears the bike rack perfectly so I can keep the saddle bags on the bike in addition to the trailer. Construction of all components is solid, it was well packaged, and the paint and finish is nice. Overall a very well thought out piece of equipment. Aired the tires to 30 lbs last night to let them stretch out a little before pumping up to the full 36 lb psi. This a.m. the tires were at 20 lbs psi. May need some inner tube stop leak, will see. Took it for first test run, couple of miles down the road with a small load and I hardly knew it was behind me. So far I'm REALLY liking this trailer. I plan on ham radio bike expeditions and fishing trips and this truly beats the heck out of stacked milk crates on the bike rack! Just have to remember to swing a little wider around turns and be careful on narrow paths. This will be my o-fish-all fishing and and ham radio field day main mode of transportation! ... show more
