I own two of this item and both of them perform perfectly and above expectations. The radar used in conjunction with the application and Waves is unquestionably superior. I have owned an Escort, amongst other radar detectors, for almost 30 years, and to date, Escort has been surpassed by none.

Saved me several times. Pretty accurate, generally quiet on most drives. Much quieter than my friend's Uniden R8 on K band. The filtering is top tier but it's not completely immune to falsing, but at least for Ka you can usually just read the displayed frequency and make a good guess as to if it's really a cop or not. I do wish there was an option to make the frequency display bigger though, or something to quickly speak the alert frequency out loud. Not a major problem though Range is great, it'll pick up Ka more than a mile out if the road is straight with no obstructions. Range isn't as insane on curves or hilly roads but you still get more than enough warning. I do wish we could block out custom frequency ranges instead of just the preset notches though. ... show more

this is fantastic. I have not owned an escort before in my life. It has alerted me several times of K band local police on some of our back roads before the police have even come into sight It does tend to false alarm on the K band but that's to be expected. My understanding is that some door openers like those at CVS use something in the key band to sense that you're walking in I was up on one of our local interstates the other day and this thing lit up like a Christmas tree. I checked the mirrors. I looked everywhere and I could not see anything. Finally, I made a slight bend in there he was tucked up underneath the bridge it's expensive but it's well worth it. It has picked up both forward and those coming up behind you as well as one's parked on the side. I upgraded the camera to 128 gig card just so I could have more storage. I ended up using a blendmount off the rearview mirror in my truck as I did find on an extremely hot day, the suction cup would fail ... show more

It's one of the best. I've caught them 5+ miles on the interstate. Just remember it's a tool. Also just know sometimes your false alarms is it just picking up other cheaper detectors. I used this mirror mount ( https://amzn.to/3MS3VjM ) and it's amazing! I'm also using this mirror power cable ( https://amzn.to/4se3mQB ) on a 2024 mustang this setup is the bee's knees. Tucked up and away, can't see it standing next to the car. That mount and cable also make it able to be removed in seconds when taking it off for security reasons. (not get broken into, etc) ... show more

PROS: Absolutely NO PROS. As a current escort owner, this product is GARBAGE considering the price. Not even 1 day of use and it is useless. CONS: Turned on and immediately throws an FR issue. Updated firmware and still continuously throws an FR error. This device is listed as flagship and carries the price to match but still uses USB Mini as a connector. In my opinion, there is no excuse for this to be considered as a viable connection type in this day and age. Unable to connect to wifi, first attempts were with a mesh network. I gave it the benefit of the doubt that maybe they can't navigate mesh, however, when attempting to connected to dedicated 2.4 network. STILL NOTHING. Drive Smarter app does not really seem to add much value to the detector other than tracking you. Of course, only having the detector for a day with continued errors did not give me a chance to really determine anything. Software in the detector told me to update my firmware if I wanted to check for updated firmware after I installed the latest firmware for the detector. REALLY? Who QA'd this? NUETRAL It connected to bluetooth on my phone (ONCE) I guess that is something. Every other time it kept telling me out of range even though I was no more that 3 feet from the device and even moving the phone directly next to it seemed to fail often. I would like to have tested the magnetic connection in my car to determine if it is really a viable connection method but only had the detector for a day before returning. Ease of installation: You really can't screw up a suction cup and magnetic connection, so I guess that is a good thing going for it. ... show more

Excellent radar, but is extremely expensive for the minor differences between it and the 360 blue series that’s half the cost I would go with the 360° escort. The unit in version does pick up radar much faster in this has somewhat of a delay and it’s programming is extremely difficult. The app is very glitchy. ... show more

Always detects police from very far away and the cord was about mid length, the volume was fully adjustable to either be very loud or very quiet and like many other radars it had a mute button on the device and on the car charger part of the cord.
