This was a gift for my daughter…she really loves it. It’s pretty sturdy even without being anchored to the wall. The only downside is that the ladder really hurt her feet climbing up and down so I got creative and wrapped the steps with foam grip (the kind you can buy in rolls and is used to line cabinets) I then zip tied the ends and added pieces of cut pool noodle to each to cover the zip ties. Works great, stays in place and was a cheaper fix than buying a new ladder or other foam sold on Amazon. ... show more

Got this for my sons room. Building it was pretty easy untill we got to the polls that go under your mattress. The little plastic pieces to hold the bars in place were so hard to get in. That part took longer than putting the whole rest of the bed together. I love how tall it is but didnt think it through, we live in a trailer and it is close to the ceiling lol. I HATE the ladder, after your child climbs the ladder they then have to climb and crawl over the side railing making it hard to get into bed if you live in a trailer your kid will be knocking their head off on the ceiling climbing over the rails. My son hates climbing over but he loves the space it opened up in his room. We slid his dresser perfectly under the bed, giving him so much more room to play. ... show more

Bought for my granddaughter… I wish we had purchased a wooden bed. We have had to use wd40 to stop squeak and it smells awful in the room afterwards. It is very difficult to climb into because there is no opening and I feel it’s takeouts as well. I would return it if my husband would take it apart!!
