*most helpful review for beginners or first time buyers* I bought this set about six months ago and I’m down to my last couple bricks. The clay is exactly as described. Yes the clay of bricks are small, but they’re small in every kit, some kits they make them look bigger in the picture and they’ll come even smaller than this. The only way to buy a big bricks of clay is from the primo website and they’re super expensive. Every polymer clay kit comes with this size clay, so I’m not sure why the reviews about the small clay bricks. They are average size lol. What I love about this is it comes with every color you need, every tool for a beginner and it has the case to put them in. For the six months I’ve had it. None of my clay has dried out being in the plastic carrying box I don’t use Ziploc I just throw what I didn’t use back in and it doesn’t dry out. It’s super easy to use. My kids even enjoy it. So if you’re a beginner, I would buy this kit, a plastic rolling pin, and some polyurethane spray/lacquer. I’ve attached photos of things that I’ve made and things that my kids have made. My youngest is six so this is something anyone can do! ... show more

I bought this colored modeling clay for my granddaughter, and she absolutely loves it! The colors are bright and vibrant, and the clay is soft, easy to shape, and perfect for little hands. She has spent hours making animals, flowers, and all kinds of creative projects with it. I was very pleased to see how well it holds its shape without drying out too quickly. Great starter kit if you want try every color! Everything you need start having fun and getting creative is in this nice and tidy box that stores away easily. Everything fits back nicely into the box too. When the children or yourself are done- clean up is a breeze. The complaints I heard was that the clay starts kind of wet or waxy. I loved it! Had a soft “chewy” texture. Easy to roll, flatten, sculpt. The clay is very moldable and retains fine details. Someone gifted my child other polymer clay that crumbled, cracked and was unusable. I tried to mash it together but it was weirdly dry and wouldn’t stick to itself. This clay, in comparison, was delightful! Moldable, workable and in oodles a beautiful and true colors. The box was opened and 45 minutes later my 10 year old had made and baked matching dolphin, seahorse and crab earrings. They were dainty and well done. Baked easily and without issue. This would be great for after school fun with children kindergarten and up- projects can be as simple or complicated as they prefer. Super giftable! ... show more

Pre-baking, colors tend to transfer a bit with this extremely soft, somewhat sticky clay, but the quality is on par for the price point. Back in the1990s, my preferred polymer clay was Fimo, which is considerably firmer (and pricier). This set, on the other hand, has plenty of fun, entry-level clay that is well-suited for children, those dealing with hand strain or strength challenges, or newbies curious to try a new medium. The baking fumes are thankfully low-key. Includes lots of colors, more tools than I know what to do with, and even some jewelry findings. While the clay may not be ideal for refined beading or intricate figures, this is a great introduction to the creative possibilities that this medium has to offer. ... show more

My daughter loves it! My husband had bought a clay kit from a previous different seller and this one has a lot more items and a cute little storage container. My daughter got so excited when she saw that it came with the attachments to make keychains. It comes with a little guide and keeps her entertained for hours (huge win for us so she's not wanting to stay glued to the TV all this summer). Such a great little clay kit. The colors have a great variety. It was easy to clean and we didn’t waste that much clay if any! We made our little figures on a piece of parchment paper and baked it. The baking process was easy and it did not stick to the parchment paper afterwards. Perfect to get started with and a great hobby! ... show more

My 5 year old granddaughter loves making things out of this clay. I have found that the time it goes in the oven to harden is MUCH longer than what is suggested in the instructions. Thicker pieces need more time, like an hour or more. Other than that I have zero issues and have bought this more than once. ... show more
