This watch is fantastic! It looks amazing and it feels amazing on my wrist. It is heavy in a good way (It feels like it is a quality piece of craftsmanship). It looks and feels like whoever built it really cared about what they were doing. The glass is crystal clear and the size is really nice for someone like me who has bad vision. The band is super comfortable and also feels like good quality. I highly recommend this watch.It keeps perfect time which is another huge plus.     • Great Looking timepiece with nice touches
Color: Stainless Steel/ Blue and Yellow Accents
This is my first Bulova and have to say its a hefty timepiece, great details on the dial face, bezel and essentially, the entire watch. The bracelet is chunky, although detailed with a combination of brushed and polished finishes, with the Bulova logo, however I found it to be a little brash and ungainly. I promptly substituted it with a 24mm NATO strap natostrapco.com and now the watch looks proportional and easier on the wrist. This inner details of the watch face are spectacular; the carbon fiber is industrial, the "engraved" steel ring connecting all the hour markings and the blue/cobalt ring that only reflects when light shines on it. The crystal has a complex curve on it and this is the only watch I have seen that has such a curve on it. The outer ring on the face is raised and has the tachymeter markings as well. The non rotating bezel is polished and has black engraved markings such as diver 60 min markings; the side of the bezel is also textured and 4 hex screws holding everything together. The case is large and tall, with a dual brushed and polished steel finish. The 3 push buttons are polished and the screw down crown has an engraved Bulova logo, it is has an engraved angled gear patten for handling and is protected with crown guards on either side. Now down to the mechanics, in a word its fabulous. The stop watch in motion is absolutely gorgeous to look and the primary driving force behind the purchase of this watch. The smooth motion of the large second's hand is sublime and the added infinity symbol of the precisionist line is a nice touch. The transition from normal mode to the stopwatch function and back again is nice to see as it moves faster to move to the 12 o'clock position to zero the stop watch and then rushes to catch up to the current time once switching back from the stopwatch to the normal mode. Then there are the sub-dials; top most displaying two needle hands measuring 10th and 100th of a second, left one measuring the minutes, the right one measuring the hours and the bottom most the 1000th of a second, while the large second's hand, doing its thing measuring the seconds. The hour and minute's hands are hollow broad sword style hands, with luminous markings on the tips (luminous markings are on each hour marking as well, however that is one downside to this watch, not at all bright and frankly a bit poor, however not a deal breaker for me). This watch is great and a lot going for it, the size may deter a few people, but replacing the bracelet with a leather/Ballistics Nylon or NATO / ZULU strap changes the characteristics of the watch and reduces the acreage it occupies on your wrist. In is a good way, by reducing the BLING factor of this watch, not something that I was going for. It looks more understated and you will blind fewer pilots and thus make the skies a safer place... which is a real public service. SSSSSOOOOOO.... UPs are... - Great watch - Awesome movement - Great detail and finish DOWNs are... - Brash bracelet (decided to replace it with a 24mm ballistics nylon NATO from natostrapco.com) - Large / heavy (may apply to individuals with slimmer wrists, but on my 7" wrist looks great once the bracelet was removed) - Luminous markings are not too bright (not a deal breaker at all) ... show more

Very nice watch, overall great looking and very well made. The only problem with it, it’s difficult to tell time on at a glance the hands blend in with the rest of the dial. I have the grey one with the carbon fiber, and the hands blend in with it. Keeps perfect time. If you get one, try a different color. Either way you will enjoy it. ... show more

A man's watch ! Beautifully built. A stoic timepiece. The Stainless Steel band is a perfect compliment. The watch itself is something IN itself. Just an amazing piece. The sweeping second hand is an almost perpetual movement like a rolex. Very hard to distinguish a difference in movement. It looks great. A dress watch for some...but I'm a daily wearer. I'll wear a watch for years. I have no fear to put this watch through the paces of daily life. It is very rugged. I love it and I'm a hard person to please. As for weight...it may not be up everyones alley. This watch has weight to it and you should do the weight and size research before you buy. Again...A man's watch ! There are great deals on this watch if you pay attention to sale days. With that said take the deals when you can, because it went up $100 the day after I purchased it. ... show more

You're in the great room at a large convention. All the usual suspects are represented on the various wrists there, Rolex, Patek Phillipe, Breitling, etc. It's a sea of cookie cutter figures: everyone dressed the same in black suits, grey suits, brown suits. You, however, know that in these settings, a man's socks and watch are the difference makers. This watch makes a bold statement of contemporary style mixed with ageless Bulova quality. It garners the right kind of attention and builds on the pieces of a well appointed outfit. I have many watches across the spectrum and must say that this piece sits beside the usual suspects with all the pride of a favoured Clydesdale. The sweeping second is nothing short of elegant and the materials maintain a clean shine. The glass compliments the matte face perfectly. The chronograph arrangement has a masculine styling layout and the band continues this bold theme all the way around. As a timepiece you will have a hard time finding something better. Seriously, it keeps time better than Rolex by a mile. It does however have two drawbacks you should be aware of. One is battery life. The sweeping design runs the battery constantly so expect to replace it up to twice a year. The second issue, for some, will be the weight. This thing is made completely of solid steel and as such it is quite heavy. It is around a full pound. The weight and battery life aside, I am completely satisfied with this watch. My recommendation applies to most any lifestyle as this watch works well dressed up and dressed down. This watch says you know your watchmaking and aren't afraid to pay for quality over the more known names in this price range (i.e. Movado using cheaper materials inside watches with their logo). Joseph Bulova created a legacy in watchmaking and the Bulova family pedigree is apparent in this piece. Add this to your collection, you won't be disappointed. ... show more
