This is the most durable and effective pusher-style shovel I've ever owned. It's ideal for pushing snow and breaking apart compacted snow, and because the edge is sharp it quickly cuts down to the pavement/concrete so the shovel doesn't skate over the top of compacted snow. Another good feature - the paint or coating on it is slippery so snow doesn't tend to stick to it. Two cautions - this shovel is very heavy (part of the reason it's so effective), and the hardware has a tendency to loosen up over time, so you either need to make sure to retighten periodically, or use locktite on the threads. ... show more

    • Great for quickly disposing of 1-4" of snow/slush/ice

This shovel is a beast for quickly pushing snow, slush and crusty/icy snow up to about 3-4" or whenever you don't think there's enough snow to wheel out the snowblower or plow. It's heavy duty, well made with a robust steel "plow" and fiber glass handle. I have been using it all winter here in the Berkshire Hills of WesternMass, where we have had ongoing "annoyance snow" with ice and rain in the 1-3" levels in addition to a couple of heavy dumps of 12" plus. This shovel is ideal for the lesser amounts quickly and efficiently. The only downside (and the reason for he 4 stars) is the weight of the shovel, which is a two-way sword, it's quite heavy which make it effective in getting underneath snow and ice right down to the driveway surface, but it will wear you out physically if you are not in great shape. I'm 74 and in decent condition and am able to use the tool, but need a nap afterwards! All in all, a great tool for low amount winter precipitation, if you aren't ready for the heavy steel of this shovel, maybe consider the lighter plastic versions of the snow pusher type shovels. ... show more

Awesome shovel. Earned high points during the snow storms this winter. A bit heavy but this weight allows the metal shovel blade to stay on the concrete. Blade scrapes the sidewalks clean, down to the surface (without using an ice scraper) . For pushing only… great for old guys like me with a bad back! ... show more

The Pros of this shovel are: .Good size .Good on Asphalt .Strong blade .Good Handle The Cons are: .Too Heavy .Doesn't work well on Gravel .Design is not good to push snow(it falls down from the top) .Screw doesn't secure the blade when shoveling heavy snow I wouldn't recommend this shovel. If you're looking for something like this perhaps trying the 26' inch one may be better overall. ... show more

Incredible well built shovel Only issue I have is that it’s very heavy and requires a lot of strength to push snow because it’s so heavy. So it’s your dealing with wet snow it’s going to tire you out fast. Not designed for lifting wet snow. Built to last hope I do as well
