This is the most durable and effective pusher-style shovel I've ever owned. It's ideal for pushing snow and breaking apart compacted snow, and because the edge is sharp it quickly cuts down to the pavement/concrete so the shovel doesn't skate over the top of compacted snow. Another good feature - the paint or coating on it is slippery so snow doesn't tend to stick to it. Two cautions - this shovel is very heavy (part of the reason it's so effective), and the hardware has a tendency to loosen up over time, so you either need to make sure to retighten periodically, or use locktite on the threads. ... show more

This is a good, heavy duty metal shovel that will clear ur sidewalk or driveway with little to no issues! I had to take a star though, bcuz after only 2 uses, a screw/bolt came loose and fell off completely and we secured them tightly with our drill.

Awesome shovel. Earned high points during the snow storms this winter. A bit heavy but this weight allows the metal shovel blade to stay on the concrete. Blade scrapes the sidewalks clean, down to the surface (without using an ice scraper) . For pushing only… great for old guys like me with a bad back! ... show more

    • Shovel Broke on Second Use - Bully Tools honored warranty

My shovel broke on the second use; however, Bully Tools immediately honored their warranty and sent me a new shovel. The fiberglass pole broke where it is connected to the shovel. I was debating whether to get a sold wood pool or fiberglass. Fiberglass is lighter but I am not sure it is stronger. The steel shovel blade is nice for scrapping packed on snow from the driveway. I buy shovels to work hard(but not abuse). Hopefully the warranty replacement shovel will hold up. If it doesn't hold up i will provide an update to this post. This fiberglass pole shovel is a nice lighter option for a pusher will a full steel blade just not sure if I should have purchased a solid wood pole shovel with a steel blade that would have been a lot heavier but perhaps more durable for my use...scrapping packed on snow off the drive way and pushing heavy wet snow. This shovel is not good for lifting heavy snow and it is not designed for that. ... show more

This is a heavy gauge steel pusher, and it has a really good non-stick coating on the entire blade. The blade surface area does not lend itself to lift and throw large amounts of snow, but that is not what I bought it for. This type is good for snow depth of probably less than 6". The 30" blade width is nice for clearing a walkway or driveway faster than the normal shovel width of about 18"-20". It is a little bit heavier than a standard shovel. I recently used it on 3" of wet slushy driveways, and it performed great. Very well built, and worth the money. Kudos to the manufacturer of this U.S.A.- made product! ... show more
