I've owned a '17 Colorado for 2.5 years now and about 50% of the time I load something, I'm wanting more tie-down location options than the 4 factory loops (ever forget to attach your straps to at least one BEFORE you loaded the bed full and then try to reach down to them?), but didn't want to have to mount fixed rings that protruded into the bed. I can't believe I didn't think to look for retractable anchors earlier, these would have saved me a lot of hassle. The anchors were easy to install and seem well built. They fit fine in my bed with a factory drop-in liner. The only issue I noticed is that the liner at the head of the bed has a small bump around the three cut outs which requires hooks to be placed from underneath on those rings, but that has nothing to do with the design of these anchors. If your straps have thinner hooks, you may be able to use them on top. You'll probably find these will become indispensable. I used them the night after I installed them, after loading up the bed with some plywood sheets, some 8 & 10 ft sticks pipe lengths, without having to run the straps BEFORE loading up. ... show more

Easy to install and slide out of the way when not needed; who can ask for more. When I purchased my Silverado 1500 in 2013, the only tie points were in the four corners, down low. Had a set of these installed when I had the back Rhino-lined and instantly fell in love with the convenience and ease of use. So, when I upgraded to a 2500HD, I bought this set and installed them myself. It was rather easy once I figured how to slip them into the holes in the bed. You may not need three tie points along each side and the front but the holes are there and I could not find a better deal for fewer bull rings. If you are worrying about strength, consider this. I use ratchet straps (about 1" wide from Home Depot) and have never had an issue with the rings pulling out. In fact, I broke a strap from over tightening and there was no damage to the ring or the truck bed. ... show more

Bought these shortly after buying my 2019 Chevy Colorado and very glad that I did as they have been extremely useful. There were no installed tie-downs when I purchased it, so being able to install these has been awesome. They can be a little tricky to install at first, but once you get it figured out, they go in fairly easily...just hold onto it while you tighten them down. Love that they retract so you can put the covers back over them, if your bed isn't covered. ... show more

I honestly wish I had bought these when I got the truck 5 years ago. I've hated how the factory Colorado hooks are so low. They're pretty much useless for what I need to tie down in the bed. These were easy to install in the factory bedside holes once I figured out the trick is to loosen the screw (obviously), put the wedge piece in first and lift it up to the top of the oval hole, then insert the flat plate bottom first. Wow. Why didn't I do this before? About half way through moving from one house to another, I thought it would really help to have more tie downs. I found these on Amazon and I'm so glad I purchased them. They arrived quickly, installed smoothly and work great. I am a 61 year old woman and it took about 20 minutes to install all 9. I installed them on my GMC Canyon. My bedliner did not allow them to face up, so I put them in facing down. It doesn't seem like this is going to be an issue. I read somewhere that they could go either way. To get the old plugs out I quickly drilled through the center of the plastic and popped them out with a screwdriver. This saved my paint because they did not want to come out easily by prying with a screwdriver. Once the hole was empty, I just ran the screw out almost to the end of the Bull Ring and popped them in without removing the screw. I found that if I tested the retractability feature and if they didn't stay up then I didn't have the metal plate all the way inside the hole, so I had to re-insert a couple of them. Even with that, it didn't take any time at all to get them securely installed. Now they retract upwards and stay that way until I need them. I may just leave them down, though because they barely stick out from the liner. Even so, they are easily accessible. I moved my first furniture with them yesterday and they worked GREAT! Update: lost a clip today while moving a hog trap. Not happy. Thankfully had it tied in multiple places. Noticed my strap flapping ad I traveled down the highway. Will retighten all. ... show more

Never received a response from the seller, while waiting three weeks for delivery on a special price of $82/ 9 piece. Coincidentally, I was finally afforded a customer service phone number after delivery. The anchors arrived encased in foam with a sturdy box. Amazon flags this product as incompatible for my truck’s year, however, I took a gamble. The install was seamless, & probably took me roughly 20 minutes, because I double checked my work. Metal plate labeling inscribed with where made needs to be at the top. Ensure metal plate is completely behind the inside of a stake pocket hole & apply firm tension while pulling, until you hear a click. It’s not a race & no one will be graded. Had zero issues working with a spray-in liner, because I previously elected to have all my GM stake covers removed before painting. If anything, the liner provided a better grabbing surface. ... show more
