The media could not be loaded. Well sorry if my singing wasn’t perfect, but if you watch my test with headphones you can hear a very high resonance leave the microphone. I only used one panel in the test so pretty good for all things considered. It is definitely not foam. It feels like a very compressed sheet of fibers and is more like a hardboard. Pretty lightweight but dense so I’m not sure how lightweight it will feel to the tape itself. The panels feel very sturdy and durable. Definitely don’t cheap out on adhesion tape. Out of the 6 packs I bought all of the geometry and lines match up very well. These are going to be in a smaller vocal booth so I wanted this to absorb those high shrill frequencies. I can not speak for room to room noise canceling if you get what I’m putting down. I still have to put them up. Overall what I heard in my test, these will work out great. Pretty good price overall also. Unbiased reviewer, I’m Not paid or given anything just thought this would be helpful for everyone interested.

Bought these when my family brought home a puppy. We expected her to whine and bark for a while as she acclimated to her new home. The problem is that we live in a historic apartment building, so I’m limited in what I can do to sound proof. Bought these to put on a shared walls and they’re working great. They stick with small 3M adhesives and hold well (they don’t come with them so order some with these). I also put them on the door to test and was impressed by the noticeable noise cancellation they provided when I tested them with a speaker playing music. Don’t expect them to cancel out all noise if you don’t create an airtight wall, but they do provide good suppression.

I've installed these on part of the wall in the small 6' by 5'6" laundry room in my small condo. I have a small washer/dryer with condensation drying that takes a long time to wash a load. It can be a little bit noisy, but placing these on about half the wall area noticeably reduced the sound. But research the best way to solve you soundproofing problems before deciding which method to use, there are choices. (Reducing vibration often gives a good bang for the buck. Checking the db ratings of the machines before purchase is something I should have done.

They hold up on the ceiling pretty well when used with the 3M black double sided tape. Make sure you have a box cutter and a 1/2" piece of ply wood to cut on as they will not always line up properly and the edges may need to be trimmed. At first I though that they were not all manufactured exactly to the same size but it ended up being slight curves in the house walls that throw off some off the row alignment lines by 3/8" here and there. The sound dampening works to a satisfactory level, not as good as real thick acoustic foam but it's a good trade off on the looks versus the performance. A couple of suggestions: Wash you hands often when dealing with these tiles. They are almost like white cloth and they will pickup and get stained by any dirt that is on your hands. Keep a white rag and some alcohol nearby. This can clean off most of the marks that may get on the tiles. Really push and hold them in place for like 15 seconds each. The first few I put up dropped off 24 hours later because I did not push them on hard enough and did not wait long enough for the double sided tape to set. I have mine on my solar electrical room ceiling. I needed to dampen out some of the sound of various inverter fans running and also keep some of the daytime heat out. It works ok for those two problems. I noticed a 3 deg-F drop in temp during the day and the sound is about 30% less. Bonus was that it made the room look pretty high tech.

I’m giving these 5 stars because they function exactly as expected at the price point. Don’t expect to “sound proof” without serious structural work, but if you want to deaden the room and lower the noise these are great.

The panels themselves do a good job of reducing noise from W/D in kitchen, but adhesion to the doors takes some experimenting. I bought MANY 1 inch velcro disks but they do not stick to the panels. In the middle of the night...clunk...clunk...clunk as they fell to the floor. Command strips work much better at 100x the price.

These look great on the inside of my 5' x 5' closet which I converted into a vocal booth. I only ordered one pack of six but the sound improvement was dramatic in my takes! I may buy a second pack and experiment with more. Follow the instructions - use double sided 3M mounting tape to put them up or else your tape will grip the wall but not the panels and the panels will fall. Once I did that the panels stayed secure and they've been mounted for over a month with no problems.
