The thermal imager worked well out of the box, once charged up. It seems accurate, giving similar temperatures to contact thermometers. The wide angle lens takes a little getting used to, it distorts the image at the edges. The laser pointer helps getting the center reading. It was worth its weight in gold troubleshooting the ductwork in a heat pump installation. It was sensitive enough to track the heat from a duct through poured concrete, a 1F difference between duct and no duct showed the path of the duct brightly. It shows which circuit breakers have load. I do need to play with the many display settings when I have time. ... show more

    • Excellent quality and functionality. Worth twice the price.
The resolution is adequate for most uses. Controls are intuitive and logical. Measurement and display updates are responsive. The only delay is when you point to an area that is outside the current range. Then it takes about 3 seconds for it to auto-switch to the new range. I used it to find areas of the house that needed more insulation, and it revealed a wall switch that had a bad contact which could have caused a fire if undetected. ... show more

I didn't have much hope given the low price. Overall, I was shocked. We are truly living in the future. Pros: - Color with different themes/palettes - Almost real time - Auto min/max finding - Supports ℃ and ℉ - Includes the ability to take screenshots (.BMP files), but I have no idea how to copy them off Cons: - Very short USB A only to USB C cable - Barely fits in the case so there's minimal protection ... show more

    • Even if you don't need one, you need one. Does the job as advertised.
I should have purchased one of these a long time ago. Just to have it! I am having problems with a radiant floor and needed to track the water lines in the concrete and tiled floor. This device found what it was looking for without issue and I was able to confirm my concerns with a plumber after I figured out what was possibly happening.     • Don’t work with iPhone. And I can’t get the Bluetooth device plugged into it to work with anything.
It don’t connect to my iPhone can’t get my pictures off of it. I’m having a bad experience. I bought an interphase since it didn’t come with one that is supposed to work, but it does not work. I am stuck and unhappy.

    • Good ir camera...but not perfect
This is a decent cheap ir camera. Havent had any issues with it in the past year. Really the only annoying problem that keeps coming up is the laser spot does not line up with the cross hairs on the screen. I looked through the manual and it doesnt seem like there is anyway to adjust this. I would rate it 5 stars if it wasnt for that. ... show more
