Arrived safely and so far looks to be growing Arrived safely and so far looks to be growing
Size: Small
Style: Ceramic Pot
My plant arrived safely. The plant was wrapped nicely so that dirt did not fly everywhere in the box. I've had the plant for a week now and it looks to be growing. A few leaves have already dropped but I think the plant is trying to adjust to it's new surroundings. I have the plant indoors next to my south-facing window. It gets a little bit of light in the morning and then gets the sunshine from the afternoon sun. It is next to my router so hopefully it won't dry out from the air emitting from the router's vent. I placed a plate with rocks and water underneath it to keep the area humid. I've been watering it every day since it is summer and letting the water run out the holes in the bottom. Since it sits on my work desk, I can investigate it each day to make sure it's not dying or drying out. I see it has 2 buds that have not opened. I'll update again in a month to see if the buds actually flower. Update a month or so later: I updated another picture of the bonsai, a side by side view of when I first got it to now. I have to preface that I am watering the plant almost every day or every other day if I see the humidity plate is low on water. It is summer so the house does get warm and my plant is next to the router on my work desk. Also, I have been collecting the fallen leaves to show the amount of leaves I'm losing. Despite the amount of leaves im losing, I do see that the leaves are growing bigger on my plant. So I think the fallen leaves are just from my plant adjusting to the environment. This is a tree and trees do drop leaves occasionally. My tree does look sparser than the original so I'm not sure if I'm trending in the right direction. But still it does not look bad. Ill leave my rating at 5 stars for now. My plant still looks healthy. Also the buds I had originally have not bloomed. Hoping it's just going through a blooming cycle and won't just die off.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Size: Small

Extremely disappointed. For the more expensive side of these popular plants. I ordered the small, just didn't realize how small it was actually going to be. It arrived packaged nicely and there was no complaints there besides the leaves were already a little brown. After 2 weeks of me babying the plant and taking care of it just like all of my other bonsai plants, I paid attention to this one a little bit more. After 2 1/2 Weeks all of the leaves we're Brown and completely dead. Unfortunately, there is no coming back from this. I've had it for a month now and I've tried everything. If there is a way I can get my money back or get a new plant or even save this one I'm willing to do so. But I have tried everything I can do on my end and I'm extremely disappointed. Buy from another company!!!!!!

This plant is amazing. I don't have the patience for growing a bonsai from seeds so this is worth the cost for me. The shipping was super fast. The plant was so well wrapped the it came in perfect shape. It even came with flowers blooming! Worth the buy.

Bonsai - can be fun Bonsai - can be fun
Size: Small

The first bonsai arrived unsecured and very dry. I tried, following the VERY BRIEF guidelines, on watering to resuscitate it to no avail. This was a gift and it miserably died a week or so later. I bought it again and this time the plant was secure in the container. It was not dried out and the leaves, stems all seem to be ok. I followed the very brief guidelines on watering and it seems to now be sprouting new leaves. So I am thinking this one will survive. I am new to bonsai and would have loved to receive better guidance on growing and where to find more information regarding pruning. The little pamphlet that accompanies the plant could use better info and a web address for additional info, in my opinion

It died before a month had even passed :'-(
I had high hopes for this product. I heard that bonsai's are hardy and live a long time so i was really looking forward to a long life with this plant. Unfortunately only a few days after it was delivered it started to look worn out. I also thought that since it was advertised at 6 years old it would be more established, but it looked sad and had no blooms on it at all. I followed the instructions and even called the manufacture to ask for advise and they said i must have killed it, refused to replace it and told me i should contact Amazon. I have many happy house plants, none of them have died, I don't kill plants. I think because it came from so far away it was damaged in the shipping process. I want a new plant or my money back, but am having a hard time getting a hold of Amazon for this.

Tree was not as described, very disappointed.
Size: Small
Style: Ceramic Pot
The tree arrived very well packaged and there was no damage to the pot or tree. The pot is very nice, and the tree was wired in tightly. But even though the description talked about flowering, and it was the right time for it to flower, there were only dead little flower buds and no chance they were going to do anything. There was new growth of leaves and the tree looked somewhat healthy. Very disappointed that there weren’t going to be any flowers as these Satsuki Azaleas are renowned for their flowers. I gave it a few weeks to settle in, and then decided to repot the tree, into new Bonsai soil. I was very disappointed to see the root ball was solid roots grown round and round each other as though it had never been repotted. This is supposed to be a 5 year old tree. It was very difficult to get the roots loose and I had to wash the old soil off with a hose. I used a larger pot, with mesh and wires to hold the tree in, tried to spread the roots out and filled in with new Bonsai soil. I’m not sure how it’s going to survive, after 2 weeks the old leaves are turning yellow and dropping off. Not a good sign. However there is some new growth with new leaves so maybe I can save it yet. I will not be buying any more trees this way.
