Although traditional Japanese bonsai live outdoors, you can enjoy these little trees indoors—in your office, your kitchen, your bedroom, or bathroom. Bonsai prefer a bright spot indoors; place in a room where your bonsai will receive a significant amount of indirect light during the day. Water when the soil is dry (about once a week). If the container does not have holes, use approximately half a cup of water, adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Bonsai sit in overly soggy soil.
