Description

There are over 600 species of Ficus, most of them tropical & evergreen. Ficus produces a unique "fruit" Which is actually an inverted flower. Ficus is one of the most loved bonsai for many reasons. Ficus are one of the best varieties of bonsai trees for indoors. They're very easy to take care of & need little attention. In the Ficus family, The golden gate variety is the best for growing indoors. The attractive gray trunk is thick & sturdy topped by small, dark green oval foliage. It is an excellent tree for beginners, as most species of Ficus are fast growers, tolerant of most any soil & light conditions, make fine indoor bonsai, & perhaps most importantly, are remarkably forgiving of those just learning bonsai watering techniques. Each live plant is shipped with the phytosanitary certificate as required by the USDA.

Sept 21,2020: leaves are falling daily at a rapid rate. Getting yellow spots and falling. At this rate , I’m worried that the tree will lose more than 50% of its leaves in less than one month. The bonsai arrived with one trunk lose, and green moss around one of the trunks. Also, the color, size, and shape of the container are not what is described on the website. Much uglier in reality. I had a bonsai from the same company that is seven months old and losing all the leaves (this is why I am replacing it); it shows the different container sizes and shapes. I was happy for the first delivery; besides the color, all was what was said on the website, and they provided a care users guide booklet plus fertilizer. However, the second delivery was not well done, no information whatsoever on the care and different container, much uglier. ... show more
