Very satisfied. Plant was packaged well. Very good color. The other two in picture are from the same company but the larger version. The small measured 13.25" from TOP of pot. Healthy and happy plants. Highly recommended.

Day 1 review The tree arrive a full week ahead of schedule. It's larger than I expected. Even the main trunk is thicker than I thought it would be. The large glazed blue ceramic pot is packed to the top with a nice bonsai soil mix and the soil is already watered thoroughly. The foliage is bright green and healthy. It's definitely been pruned with the bonsai aesthetic in mind. The packaging was fantastic. Lots of layers of security involving cardboard, polystyrene, and shrink wrap. I was a bit weary of buying anything live through Amazon. I was very worried about how it would be shipped seeing reviews on how people received dead or broken trees. I decided to order the tree anyway (despite it being the dead of winter in Minnesota). When I received the tree, it was in a very healthy condition and was even packaged very nicely to protect the tree from hurting during the roughest moments of being delivered. It had one broken branch but thankfully I’m a BIO major and was able to easily help that tree reattach its small limb. I rate the quality of the tree at max (10/10) although the pot it came in was extremely tiny and the tree was wired into the pot. I had to use bolt cutters to re-pot the tree. I understand that the wires were to prevent the tree from probably falling and spilling out of the package but my tree started to rapidly deteriorate after a few months. When I repotted the tree, its healthy again. Overall, a nice tree. Just remember the pot the tree is plant in, in my photos is NOT the pot it arrived in. :) ... show more

Wow! What a great tree! Was a little scared with the negative reviews and the low price for the advertised size of the tree. Decided to go for it since I never have any problems getting good customer service from Amazon. I am glad I did. I received a beautiful, healthy tree of 9.5" and 12.5" including the pot - well within the advertised size. It has a few separate mounds and a great snaky trunk. I've added a picture. This is at least a $60 tree on any bonsai site so also a great buy! Also, of importance is how well it was packaged for shipping almost to the point of being a little hard to unpack but I don't mind having that problem in this case. The tree was packaged so there would be no movement with the pot being well wrapped all the way up to the trunk to retain moisture. I am very impressed and will probably by another for an additional location. Beware those of you new to bonsai - this is an outdoor tree. It will not live for any length of time indoors. ... show more
