Description

The Jaboticaba Bonsai is a stunning Southern Brazilian beauty guaranteed to captivate audiences from Carnival to your living room. Jaboticaba Bonsai are upright, graceful trees that have glossy, dark-green foliage that comes in brushed with pink in the Spring. The bark is cinnamon colored and has a habit of slowly peeling off in curls, which adds to its already stunning visual impact. Mature Jaboticaba will flower and produce fruit all over its trunk and branches. The flowers are tiny and white and the fruit, which are round, dark and resemble small grapes, can be eaten fresh or made into jams or wine (they’re called Brazilian Grapes in case anyone asks).Each live plant is shipped with the Phytosanitary Certificate as required by the USDA.

I so love this plant. She was delivered in perfect condition. I have her about two weeks and I think I lost two leaves. She is healthy and beautiful. This plant has adjusted well under my plant lights as does my other Bonsai’s. I look forward to having her for many years. The pot she came in is pretty and it came with a humidity tray. I have bought other Bonsai from this grower and delivered from Amazon. you need patience . when I received it it had a lot of brown leave informed seller and they said it was from shipping . tree is doing fine . it started wilting but a day in bay window the leaves perked right up

The tree and the pot both look amazing. There's even some lovely moss on the soil; although it might have been nice if it covered more of the soil, there's only a small patch. When it arrived, it looked absolutely amazing; the directions said that we can expect it to lose about 20% of its leaves as it settles into a new home. In my case, it lost far more than that. However, I suspect a problem with my watering, which was exacerbated by the fact that I have a ceiling fan in the room. So if you got a ceiling fan you might need to water it more often, it does seem to be coming back now and I've got new leaves sprouting out. In my case I have this sitting behind an area where I do video conferences in film from time to time, and when I do I turn off the grow light, however the grow light doesn't have a pause function so the interruption and lighting may have also been a problem. Perhaps I can find a grow light that can be paused and resume without interrupting the cycle too much? Also I'm not quite sure about the optimum levels of lighting, I've got quite an intense grow light on it but I telescoped to grow light up as far as it would go. It does have an option to output light at different levels. I've got a light meter so I can measure the lighting levels reaching the plant but I just don't know what it should be, the directions didn't say precisely just that it makes a lot of light. ... show more

Leaves dead, small branches broken off. After a week starting to look a little better. This is supposed to be a Bonsai Tree, looks more like a bush pruned down. Extremely weird branch division and the trunk is a smaller diameter at the pot than higher up. No returns, but the seller says to contact them with any issues. I do not want to fault the company or the tree... Within a few days of delivery, the leaves had started turning brown and falling off. They are almost all gone now. We put it in a bright window and watered when soil started getting dry. (as the instructions state). I'm not sure it is going to survive, and this makes us sad. Again, I'm not faulting the comapny or the product. It is probably more the result of brown thumbs. ... show more
