  • Bruntmor is a new favorite.
Size: 3.8 Qt Color: Marine Blue
This large Enameled Braiser has been a phenomenal work horse for me, and without any issue of chipping or cracking as I follow all directions thoroughly. It it such a beautiful addition to my collection of cookware, especially for enamel. It is well coated, and so easy to clean. It heats evenly and fast just using low heat that my recipes are actually cooking better. This is a company I never heard of, but is now at the top of my list. It is heavy at about 11.3 lbs., plus more with food, but it's size, balance and greatly designed handles make using quite easy. Personally, I do not put in dishwasher nor use metal utensils because I want it to stay beautiful and not mar the finish. Always on my stove ready to use, which is often. A NOTEWORTHY UPDATE: I am so in love with having the Bruntmor braiser, that I recently jumped at the chance to also buy a new Le Creuset 3.5 qt. braiser on a huge sale. I decided to add to my collection as everyone praises it. On my first day as I washed it with just a gentle foam sponge before 1st use, and the interior enamel just chipped off. Due to sale, it was sold out, so no exchanges and if I returned, there was no guarantee I would ever get that price again, so I am now in the process of exchanging via warranty. (Still thinking I should have just returned as my trust has been broken). Meanwhile, my Bruntmor is still perfect and looks like new. I suggest if you are pondering a purchase of Bruntmor, trust all the high reviews and treat it well and follow the instructions. Being Le Creuset didn't guarantee quality, so why pay more? Lesson learned firsthand. ... show more

  • Excellent High-Quality Dutch Oven
Size: 5.2 Qt Color: Red
The Bruntmor Dutch Oven is an excellent high-quality product with fantastic cost performance. It arrived in perfect condition and was very well and securely packed. I prepared a delicious rosemary, vegetable & pork roast dinner this evening and it performed beautifully. Browning the meat was easy with no sticking, and a gorgeous fond developed that quickly dissolved when cooking the vegetables. The lid fit securely and generated a good tight seal. The metallic lid knob is very strong and thick and much better than cheap plastic knobs found on most Dutch ovens. The side handles are very strong and thick for easy lifting. The dimples on the inside of the lid are an excellent idea, and help disperse condensing steam over the food during cooking that bastes the food. Cleanup was a breeze with just a little soapy water and very gentle scrubbing with a sponge. The red outer color is gorgeous and the beige interior is excellent for seeing the fond coloring. Helpful Hints: 1) NEVER use metal utensils with an enabled Dutch oven. Always use a wooden or silicon spoon and NEVER use metal whisks or tongs. Invest in a good pair of silicone-coated tongs or the enamel will get scratched over time when sautéing meat. 2) NEVER put an enameled Dutch Oven above 230C (450F) or the enamel will be ruined over time. 3) Be careful not to scratch the bottom of the Dutch oven when placing on metal stove or oven rack. Scratches will eventually cause the enamel to flake off. 4) invest in a good pair of silicon oven gloves for maximum heat protection and maintaining a good grip on the heavy Dutch oven. You can’t go wrong with this purchase in terms of: price, quality, design and attractiveness. It greatly exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • Beautiful, high quality, quintessential piece of kitchen equipment
This is a beauty of a product. I love cast iron and have had my eye on the French Le Crueset, however I couldn’t stomach the cost. After research I settled with this wonder Dutch Oven. It’s easy to clean, even if you forget to stir. It’s cooks food evenly! It’s a beautiful accent piece in the kitchen (I leave it on the stove top because it’s so lovely in my grey colored kitchen). Here’s the thing, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of how it arrived. If you look at the pictures you will see one black spot at the bottom of the Dutch oven that hasn’t been properly covered in enamel. I cooked with the pot anyways because I have been waiting for a Dutch oven for ever!! The black spot didn’t get bigger nor did it crack under high temperatures. Also you will notice a small rust spot on the cast iron under the lip of the lid. Over all good product. We will see how time affects it. I’m hoping for it to last for years and years. ... show more

  • I am enjoying using my Braiser!
Size: 3.8 Qt Color: Gradient Red
I live alone and found that a lot of the cookware I used to use just sat taking up cupboard space. I then reevaluated what my cooking needs were. I kept my big Soup pot because I do make bone broth on a regular basis but every cookware I had like my deep chicken fryer, my 10 and 12 skillets...gave them to a family member that was grateful to receive my cookware. I read up, compared prices, read reviews, bought a well made 6 and 8 skillet with lids, a 3 quart cooking pot BUT I still needed a go to cookware piece. I decided on this Braiser. I used it the most so I consider it does what I was hoping for. It is deep enough to brown meat and chicken before I bake them ( the versatility of the Braiser allowing one to do that, range to oven, I love it) It cleans fine. I leave it on top of my stove to cool, later I put it in my sink with water and Dawn, let it sit and later I clean the baked on stuff easily with a non scratching scrubber. Cooks evenly, cleans like a dream and holds heat wonderfully. I've had no issue with the enamel either. It's made well. ... show more
