Really nice lamp. Solid base and staff. Classic look that I like. The two pull chains is nice and the pull action is very smooth. The burlap shad looks good visually but dims the light. I waffle back and forth on if I'd prefer more light or not in my current room. My critique isn't about the function of the lamp. It's a very nice lamp and looks more expensive than it actually is. It is scary buying a floor lamp on Amazon. I had already sent one back that had a very small cheap shade that came flat and opened up like an accordion This lamp is gorgeous, with the shade NOT flattened and is packaged very well. I absolutely love this lamp. It's got a good size (burlap?) lampshade and accomodates two light bulbs which puts out plenty of light for our living room. Using this as a bedside lamp for a high four poster bed, so the height and lamp shade depth are perfect. The pull chain lights give a little more length to turn on/off. Very important to my buying decision is that it has two 60-watt bulbs, a big plus to having more light when needed. There are two lights and each has its own chain pull, so you can have different amounts of light. This lamp is worth the higher price.

This is a really nice, heavy duty lamp. I ordered it more for the base, as I had a large stained glass shade to put on it and its perfect. The shade is more of a drum shade, which is like burlap over a form. Nice quality in the shade.

The finish is shinier than I expected. I prefer less shine. I put a more attractive shade on it. This one is burlap, which doesn’t suit me or my decor. It gives off lots of light for reading which suits my purpose.
