The SimpleSpa's durable brass and ceramic internal components won't corrode or wear down and are protected by the sonic- sealed outer shell. This secure attachment body offers multiple layers of leak protection. Customer your wash experience with a quick turn of the control knob. The SimpleSpa comes with all the parts needed for a standard installation, including a durable metal hose and metal t-valve. • A properly working nozzle and a sturdier control arm would have earned 5 stars.
Style: Single Nozzle
Honest review of Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle at $34.99 (tax excluded) at time of order. This is my third bidet that I have purchased, and I have to say that I wish I had purchased one years ago. My first one was a non-electric Brondell Bidet Seat for the elongated toilet in my main bathroom that had the bidet built into the seat. It had the front and back cleaning plus self-cleaning nozzles. My second bidet was another brand that was a non-electric attachment for my spare bathroom that had the standard round toilet seat. The Brondell seat reduced the toilet hole size (photos depict both) and did not seem to allow the stream to hit the target area as well as my other brand (SOMODRA) of attachment. I figured it was probably the reduction in the hole size. My hopes were that buying another Brondell brand, that I could use the same hose connectors to the bidet itself, but such was not the case. The connector fit the outlet from the main supply line but was different to the connection on the Brondell bidet itself. So, I made the changes on the hose connections. This was installed on a Kohler elongated toilet. When I performed some tests of the nozzle sprays on this Brondell attachment, something seemed not right with how the water sprayed in both positions (buttocks and self-clean). I found the arm of this bidet attachment to be very flimsy feeling too. My SOMODRA was nowhere near this flimsy feeling. I was not at all pleased with this Brondell bidet attachment, but it was likely that there was a faulty nozzle. It wasn't packaged very well inside the box it arrived in and had very little bubble wrap for its only protection. However, I was not going to chance that is all it was, along with how flimsy the arm controller felt. I returned this Brondell attachment and ordered another SOMODRA. Likes: Amazon Prime shipping, returns and refunds. The design is nice and aesthetically pleasing. This is a very thin controller arm (maybe too thin) and attachment. This allowed my toilet seat to close nicely. Dislikes: The control arm seemed very flimsy. The nozzle did not seem to function appropriately in self-cleaning or buttocks cleaning modes. Mehs: This bidet attachment is priced slightly higher than most others that are similar and probably due to it being a “Premium Brand You Can Trust”. The plastic circular pieces that go into the attachment so that your toilet seat bolts that hold the attachment and seat in place did not seem to line up correctly, no matter how they were turned. Hopefully this helps someone decide about this product. ... show more

  • I'm feeling extra clean. This is a necessity in every home.
Style: Dual Nozzle
This is my 3rd bidet. I have previously owned a Brondell Thinline product, the one with a single nozzle. I think I had used it for about 2-3 years, but it was not even worn out when I replaced it. The second bidet was a generic handheld device, I'll add some more info in the next paragraph about this. More recently, I had been using a generic handheld bidet that had a similar design to an on-the-side sprayer from a kitchen sink. The handheld was okay, the stream was wider, thus less direct pressure in the targeted areas, but my s/o did not think it was hygienic because it would often catch ricocheting water during use. The internal seals were also wearing out so it would slowly drip onto the floor (leaky bidet, yuck), so it was definitely time for a replacement/upgrade. Installation is easy, though I'm sort of handy so I might be biased here. The included pipe sealant tape is handy, and you'll have plenty leftover since you likely will only need to use it on a single set of threads. In my experience, the thread sealant tape is only necessary on metal to metal connections. If you're going plastic to metal or plastic to plastic, you probably won't need it, but you get so much more than you need with this, it might help you sleep at night to just wrap all of the connections 3-5x clockwise. I recommend wrapping your connections with the tape first before trying to secure anything. If your toilet is plumbed with a solid supply line, you'll have to run out to the home improvement store to get a new one. I recommend a long (18-24") flex toilet supply line, you can generally make a smoother loop with a longer supply line than with a shorter one, if you bend it too much your toilet will fill slower and your bidet might only trickle. Your mileage may vary. Putting the bidet attachment under the seat is very simple, you essentially take the seat off, clean off the years of gross stuff previous tenants left behind for you, and then put the seat back on with the bidet sandwiched between the bowl and the seat itself. I've installed another bidet for a friend and it was not as thin as this one, she had to get some spacers for the front of her toilet seat so it was levelled out. This yields more points for the Brondell Thinline. As far as use of the product goes, I am very satisfied with the Dual Nozzle Brondell Thinline that I have most recently purchased. My only reason for marking 4 stars instead of 5 is that a single jet of water can be too powerful in such a sensitive area, although with some practice you can dial in the perfect amount of pressure without going full tilt on the controls. Also, I wish this bidet included a shutoff valve that would allow you to turn this thing off at the wall so if you were to bump the controls or the bidet were to spring a leak, you'd have some peace of mind rather than walking into a big mess to clean up. My s/o said that the "Front" function was difficult to use, but she might just need to try it a few more times to see if there's a knack to it. Full disclosure, the bidet might just not work as well with a round bowl, perhaps someone else might have better luck with an elongated bowl. Bidets generally get a bad rap from people who have never tried them before. It makes me feel cleaner and it's more environmentally friendly and cost effective because they cut down on toilet paper/flushable wipe use. Additionally, flushable wipes shouldn't even be flushed. They don't break apart the way that toilet paper does and it causes great headache and expense to remove them from waste water at treatment plants, if they don't form an enormous clog in your sewer first. I am unsure of the longevity of this upgraded product, but if it's anything like the previous Brondell bidet I've owned, I'm hopeful that Brondell has maintained the same level of quality. I will return here to update this review if I have any quality issues. ... show more
