Now that I have finally got this bathroom light-fan to work correctly it is great. Firstly, however, I found that the installation app does not work with my Pixel Pro 6 phone. It seems to load but it freezes up or crashes with no explanations. When I finally found this problem, it did the install using a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Phone. While trying to install and make the light work with Alexa there was a bright blue light in the center of the product logo that could not be turned off and was very distracting. I could find no explanation for it and it stayed on until the unit was paired with Alexa. This would have been very bad if I had only wanted to use the unit with the included remote control. It did go off when the fan was mated with Alexa. Now it only comes on when I am giving commands to Alexa and them remains on as a green light for a while. No idea why. The unit does work well once it is installed with Alexa and works as an Echo unit. I would give it five stars except for the two days my daughter and I spent trying to get it to work with the atrocious app. ... show more

Based on other comments, I was aware of the trouble setting up Bluetooth. During the setup, I scanned the QR code in the instruction sheet. It brought me to a setup video. At the very end of the video, there is a voice command for bluetooth connection. It worked for me on the first try. I believe I connected the fan to wifi first, though. After the qualified electricians installed the fan, there was a lot of drywall patching to do. This is due to our old fan that required a very large hole. Our ceiling needed paint anyway, so that gave us an excuse to finally get busy and do it. (See pictures.) For an amateur do it your-self-er, it came out better than I expected. The old fan had two wall switches, one for the light, one for the fan. The new fan control has all switches in one device. I was concerned about how ugly a single device might look in a double device wall plate. We decided to get a little creative and add an outlet. We were able to pick up the GFCI outlet and wall plates at our local home store. The voice commands are fun, the light is pleasant, and the music is great. I just learned a voice command to turn the fan off after 10 minutes...or whatever time you choose. It's been an elegant addition to a 43 year old bathroom! ... show more

This is a really nice bath fan and it has a lot more power than the builders model before it. The fan was easy to install as expected. It installs like any other fan would for a bath ceiling fan. Unfortunately, it could use some polishing touches as seen in the picture. You can easily see through the greats into the unfinished drywall and metal around the fan. This gives it a less than clean look. You can easily see this entering the room and you don’t have to be far to the side in order to easily notice. On one side, you can even see the wires where the speaker plugs into the fan. Connecting to the app was difficult at first, but once you hook the remote to the fan you have to hold a button down for five seconds in order to get it to paired to the app. Once this was figured out, because it wasn’t clear in the instructions, it went smoothly. It does require you to create an account, so expect to have to give your email address in order to use any of the digital functions. Overall a really nice fan if you can find a way to hide the unfinished areas behind it. ... show more

I’m a fairly good technical troubleshooter so I thought I may be able to work though the warnings in the other reviews. I was not able to make the speaker and Alexa work well enough to proceed to a full install. Recommendation #1. If you do buy this, make sure you get Alexa and the speaker working before you install it in the ceiling. Otherwise, it will be trice as frustrating when you take it down to troubleshoot, or worse, return it. - Must turn on light and fan with voice control. Can’t just turn on fan. You can then ask it to turn the light off, but whay did it have to be this way? - Speaker paired with an iPhone. Would not pair with Avantree Oasis, or my main Samsung TV. - I plugged it in in my bathroom to test the Alexa performance next to the echo dot Hoped to replace it with. The Broan Alexa would drop out of playing Sirius radio or not respond when the $30 dot had no issues. Summary: I really wanted this to work, but they need to mature the product and clearly release a “new and improved version” that is reliable before you should buy this. ... show more

For the cost of this fan you would think it would be easy install and setup….. not even close. For one the app is garbage. Two trying to get this thing into pairing mode to work with Bluetooth, Alexa or the app itself is damn near impossible. Once you get that far if you do, cause I almost gave up and sent it back. In Alexa you can’t separate the fan from the light without setting up additional routines. Once I finally got it working and my frustration settled, it seems to work. Occasionally Alexa will crash when asking her to play music but besides that seems ok, but for the price point I’d buy something else if I had to do it again. ... show more

the Bluetooth speaker is a joke, talks to you to set it up but never does. Broan was great and offered to replace but it is installed, and not worth the effort. Buy ti without the speaker

Package arrive on time we installed it looks good fan work really good but when i try setting the voice command the a blue light keep on flashing I did some reading and research about this light it said not connecting with wifi so I turn it of and re started my wifi to see it if worked but nop blue light keeps flashing and flashing and it wouldn't connect to my Bluetooth at all nothing would show I gave up trying I've been going to bed at 2am for the last 2 knights trying to make it work and nop light still blinking blue... If anyone else has this problem plz help 🙏 ... show more
