This car seat is super easy to install with the click tight installation. We needed something both compact and narrow for a sedan and this did the trick. It’s sturdy and my daughter can easily get in it when we open the door for her. It is also long lasting in rear facing mode which was important to us. The no-rethread harness makes it easy to adjust the seat height too. Overall would highly recommend this to someone who is looking for a seat that is comfortable, easy to install, is safe, but wants something that is more middle of the road priced compared to other car seats! ... show more

I’m a big fan of Britax car seats..the quality is great! The fabric feels so nice and soft, the padding is thick and feels comfortable. The size of these car seats is perfect for my Toyota Corolla, the backseat is small..I had an infant car seat and a Britax one for life before and oh my goodness it was tight…you couldn’t move the front seats at all so it made for a very uncomfortable ride in the front seat…with these seats you can actually move the front seats a little bit and get them to a comfortable position without compromising the car seats!! I highly recommend if you have a small backseat!!! The only thing I’m not excited about is these don’t last as long as the one for life car seats but I guess you can’t have it all lol. ... show more

I got the car seat for a road trip we are about to take and immediately when you open it, it's really good quality material feel. So easy to install that the unboxing was harder than the installation, it must be very comfortable and it's well padded because my kid falls asleep in seconds in it. It's a bit heavy to move around but not more than other car seats. It's slim fit so not sure how it would work for chunkier kids but overall it's good and will probably last a long time for us. ... show more

I used the Poplar both with my toddler->preschooler (extended rfing and forward facing) and with my infant, and just upgraded to the Poplar S. I think the Poplar S is nice enough to warrant the extra 15% cost, and wanted to share my comparison for anyone undecided. -The rebound bar is not a gimmick. I thought it was! We are moving to Canada and I was shocked to discover that the rebound bar is legally required for the Poplar there because the seat does not meet Canadian safety testing standards without it -The shoulder strap pads are removable on the S. I literally cannot put my Poplar's shoulder strap pads in the wash because they are permanently fastened into the seat -The S has considerably more padding. If you'll be using it with a newborn or expect your child to sleep in the seat a lot, the S is better suited -The Poplar's clicktight is slightly easier to catch than the clicktight on the S. Still a very easy install regardless -Cowmooflage is as cute in person as it is in the photos 🐄 and side note, I cannot recommend the graphite color in either seat. Stains are impossible to get out and the Poplar covers aren't easy to get off in the first place If you're between Britax and another company, neither the Poplar nor the Poplar S will disappoint. Clicktight is worth every penny; I have never once had a loose or shifty install in any vehicle. Bonus: If you are neurotic like me and install your kids' car seats on the airplane, you will be very glad to have clicktight and a 17" seat (any wider won't fit down the aisle, ask me how I know 😺). It's heavy, but as long as you have it on wheels, it's the best convertible seat to travel with by far. ... show more

I have been buying car seats for 10 years now, the Britax brand is by far the best! The click tight installation gives the most secure latch I have ever had before. The Poplar S is perfect for smaller vehicles, my husband has a Chevy Equinox & it fits well with my other 2 children in the back seat. The only thing I would say is it is SO heavy, but for me that’s not a problem. The weight to me means it’s well built. But for someone who has problems lifting heavy items it would be an issue. ... show more
