If youve never used one, the Brita replacement filter is easy to install, just remove the packaging, line up the grove with the the slot in the pitcher and stick it in. You may have to push a little as it's a snug fit. The directions are easy to use and it last about 3 months although I find that the water tastes better if I replace every couple of months. I use the filtered water for everything therefore they do not last 3 months. It is expensive but it's better than well water. The filters last abvout 2 months and I have been using the dispenser for about 23 years.
