This system by brio is next level if you want water that is soft enough to almost sud up on its own. But you must understand that you need to research the grains required for your set up to see if it will work for you. This is how to calculate. You must find your water hardness. If you live off the grid this will probably need to be privately tested but if you use a known source (for example the city) search the zip code and GPG (grains per gallon) After you find the gpg calculate how much water you typically use daily. A rough average per person in a household is 80-100 gallons a day so we will go with 100 for this example. With 5 people living in the house that's 500 gallons of day. If you lived in Santa Monica, California like one of my lasses does you will have 9.47 grains per gallon (average). Multiple the total gallons used per day by the grains per gallon and you will end up with the figure you need to determine your softener size. 500 gallons (5 people at 100 gallons per day) x 9.47 GPG (water hardness in grains per gallon for Santa Monica) you end up with 4735 grains which means this system would work for you with ease. Now that my TED talk is finished. This unit works incredibly well if it meets the requirements for your house hold If you have incredibly hard water you can also add a smaller inline filter that softens the water a bit removing minerals prior to it reaching this softener but that's another topic for another day. I installed the Brio WSFS1668 Whole House Water Softener about a month ago, and the improvement in our water quality has been clear from day one. We have moderately hard water in our area, and I was tired of dealing with soap scum, stiff laundry, and buildup on faucets and shower doors. This system has made a big difference throughout the entire home. The unit is well-built and compact, perfect for smaller homes with 1–2 bathrooms. The 24,000-grain capacity is plenty for our household, and the 6–7 GPM flow rate keeps water pressure strong — no slowdown in the shower even when the washing machine is running. The high-efficiency valve head cycles smoothly, and programming the regeneration schedule was straightforward thanks to the clean control layout. I also like that this system is fully compatible with existing filtration setups. I was able to integrate it after my carbon filter without any tricky adapters. Installation took a bit of plumbing knowledge, but the instructions were clear, and all the components felt solid. It has great quality and is one of the strongest filters I have seen so far. It is a bit heavy and somewhat complex to install because it comes in two tall, heavy parts. However, the final result is excellent. It works well, has a solid base, good functionality, and an acceptable water filtration speed for the price. Install was super easy but I didnt research enough before purchase and when it says one to two bathrooms it does not mean a family. A washer and shower can take up to 10 gpm leaving this undersized. The passby valve works great for my house though so if we need to use the shower and washer at the same time we dont loose flow its just not all softened water. I really like the black color its way better than the usual ivory colored ones I see. The system doesnt take up too much space in my water closet and is compatible with my water filter system as well.

This whole house water system works great! Its the perfect size for my small home with 2 bathrooms. It was easy to install and set up, and had definitely been an upgrade compared to our last system. Almost instantly we could tell a difference in the quality of our water. It has softned it a lot and helped make it more clear. When we take showers, the water feels fresher and cleaner, and I've noticed a my hair and skin feel much better. We our loving the improvements it has made to our water, very satisfied. Would definitely recommend if you need to improve your water quality and have a 1 to 2 bathrooms. This softener system really works!
