1. You never get this quality machine on this price. 2. I've tried two espresso machines one is Breville BES840XLand the other one is Lelit PL41TEM. On breville, fine grinds not works very vell it bares drops espresso then it stops work after 2 weeks. On Lelit, steamer is lemon. It keeps throwing the water so you prertty much end up with mix of hot water and hot milk. (Seller gives a advice how I shall operate, but it didn't work) 3. The beauties of the Brim machine - Compare to other machines, as the other reviewer pointed, machine handle is slided into receicer very smoothly - Even though I use fine grind as 5, it drops so high quality espresso. (excellent espresso taste, crema looks really nice) - Very easy to operate compare to Italian machines. Espresso shot button is automatic. - Steamer is ideal. Water is barely leaking so I can drink just hot milk. - As shown on the picture, I love all the components with excellent quality. The heavy temper is pretty which I guess around 25 dollar quality. 4. As shown on the picture, I see a small scratches on the edge. But it never affects to my point. Overall, I used this machine only one week hope it works like happily ever after.

At first I was so disappointed because they sent me a machine that was used. It was dirty and gross so I put it right back in the box and sent it back. Well, they replaced it right away. No issues and they were fast about it. I just sent them a message. I didn’t have to waste my time on the phone with customer service which I really appreciate. They sent me a brand new, beautiful machine! I love it! I am very experienced in espresso machines because of being in the restaurant business for so many years so I didn’t have any issues using it or frothing the milk. It works so good! Makes a perfect espresso and the milk frother works just like it is suppose to. I will literally use this machine several times a day because I’m very devoted to my coffee/ espresso/ cappuccino. I’ll update if anything goes wrong but for now I am so super pleased.

This company does NOT stand behind their product. My espresso machine has been in use in my home for one year. The steam wand leaks a substantial amount of water while it is supposed to be steaming. Steam also comes out of the top of the machine while steaming. Contacted them about it and they required a video of the machine malfunctioning... ok whatever, so we sent that in. They agree that it's not functioning properly as it should and say if they have another in stock they'll send that, or cut us a check for the purchase price. They don't have one in stock to replace our with so they say they are going to cut a check... however they neglected to disclose or mention that FIRST they are going to hold the check hostage until we cut the cord of the machine we currently have (which still makes espresso) to disable the device. We tell them no, send us the check first and then we'll cut the cord as we are going to need to replace the machine so we would like the money for this machine first before we go out and replace it. They refuse and say they won't cut the check until we totally disable the machine we have, which we could still use for making espresso until we are able to replace it with DEFINITELY not another brim product after this noise. The warranty states that their product will operate properly for a period of 2 years. I've only owned this thing for a year. The warranty DOES NOT state anything about the owner must cut the power cord of the device before the warranty is enforced. I've absolutely never heard about some bs like this. You agree this thing is not functioning as it should which we have in writing... so cut a check! You are simply trying to get out of refunding us for the unit by making ridiculous stipulations like this. I've never even heard of a company pulling this kind of thing... no reputable company would. Do not even think about buying one of these or in any way doing business with this company. What a joke.

I love the flavor of the espresso with lovely crema this machine whips up once you have it down. It definitely takes some practice and I'm still finessing as I've only had it a week, but my mochas are already VERY close to what I get at the coffee shop! It does pull a nice espresso shot, but takes some practice getting the coffee packed in tight enough, and then the steamer also takes some practice getting it just right, but it's a really nice machine that I'm enjoying tinkering with quite a lot. I love my at home espressos and cappacinos and mochas and americanos! So good!

I wasnt sure about this but it is a keeper. Everything works as it should. It steams well and the espresso is perfect. I wanted closer to a 700 dollar machine but really didnt want to spend that much bc I honestly dont trust any of them and if it breaks and you cant return or fix thats alot of money down the drain. This wasnt cheap but Id say its just as good as the more expensive machine....maybe better??? I dont regret buying it and Im saving alot of money not buying coffee out everyday so its definatley worth it. Its a nice looking machine as well.

There is no contact for Brim. The number on their website goes a a warranty sort of “clearing house” but there is no Brim Customer Service. I accidentally threw away the milk frother tip when I was soaking it and called Brim to order a replacement. They told me it was out of the 90-day warranty period. I said that’s fine, I wasn’t looking for a feee one. They said this umber is only for warranty repairs up to 90 days from purchase and there is no other way to contact Brim. The lady said I could go on eBay to try and find one. No luck. She said I could ask take it to a repair shop. It’s not broken. I just need a part. I’ve looked everywhere and have just had to order a separate frothing machine. Infuriating that I am not able to contact the actual company and cannot get a replacement part. Go with a better brand that has an actual contact number for the company and provides better service. No more Brim.

UPDATE 3 - After requesting a replacement and going through the hassle of receiving, re-packaging and returning products , I finally gave up and bought the Breville Barista Express. By far the best decision I have made. I should have done this two, almost three months ago. I tried to give Brim a try but that pressure gauge just wouldn’t work. And the difference in espresso quality is night and day. Go with the Breville Barista Express - you will not regret it ! UPDATE 2 - I have switched my grounds and measured the coffee. Still not getting the results I was hoping for and the gauge just doesn’t move. So I will consider switching out this product for a new one. Original Review: Okay - so i went against the reviews and bought the machine. The look and build is amazing! It is a very sturdy machine and the portafilter and tamper is heavy which to me tells me Brim was serious when designing this product. Functionality? Eh, not so much. Still trying to figure out the machine because I want to make sure I am using it right so I have no mechanical problems in the future. The machine is very loud, vibrates when pulling shots and hot water drips into the tray (I guess that is normal) I also had problems with the pressure gauge right out of the box. It only seems to be moving a few centimeters up and it does not pass the “pre-infusion”. Which leaves me wondering if I have to switch my grounds or measure my coffee before pulling shots so it can at least get the “non-pressurized” mark. Idk yet , will give it another week or two and will decide to keep it or not. For $241 this machine is generously priced. The only thing holding me back is the functionality. I had a Mr.Coffee espresso machine - super basic. Cost me $45 at target. And it worked really really well. The only reason why I got a Brim was to make my coffee station look a little more Barista-like. I was also considering a Breville Espresso Barista pro machine but what held me back was the price. If I don’t find solution to this product, I am returning it and buying the Breville.
