I love this light set. I have used them for a few years now. My neighbors love them. I get a lot of compliments on them. They line my driveway and walkways. They outline my flower beds and I use them on my porch railings and to outline my back patio. I have 3 recommendations. 1. I would ask the company to figure out a different product that is not subjected to yellowing with exposure to UVA UVB rays. The discoloration of the outer tubing does cause the lights to show more dimly. They are also more noticeable in the daytime with the discoloration. 2. Find a more durable outer tubing material that would prevent landscaping mishaps. By creating some sort of tubing that would allow a weed wacker to hit it without breaking it would be the highlight of my solar life. This also applies to the wire that goes to the solar panel. Increase the length in durability of that wire. Perhaps a material that could be buried would work. 3. Increase the strength of that wire so your consumer has more options where to best put the solar panel. For people using this product. This looks great outlining your garden beds and brightening dark walkways and driveways. 1. Purchase a bag of 50 skinny metal steaks used in landscaping. Steak them down every 3 ft. The lights are very light and are easily picked up by lawn mowers, people's feet and weed wackers. 2. Use a UVB dun protector spray on the solar panel. And give it a good cleaning every so often. The solar panel does become cloudy and reduces the charging effects for the battery. ... show more

I love solar string light and have purchased many, many sets over the years, to put in the landscape around my home. I bought these in warm white because they were on sale, not really expecting anything special. These are distinctive. They are thicker due to the tubing, but not too thick; easier to untangle and put up. They look fabulous and last well into the night. Very nice! ... show more

I was hoping for a little more light from the rope light, but it is doing the job good enough. Also, it’s not the brightest time of the year right now, lots of cloudy days, I suspect it will be brighter when the sun plays a more important part.

I have these around the outside of pool under the top rail and I love them. They only get about 5 hours of charge time but they stay on from dusk until dawn. They still charge on overcast days. I am very impressed with these.

These are the perfect lights to wrap tree branches Easy to handle , not too long, and with full sunlight to charge the batteries they stay on all night. I really like the effect for Christmas ! And they are such small lights you almost can’t see them in the day.

    • No longer waterproof after 4 months

I strung the two sets of lights across my long back yard picket fence and mounted the two solar chargers where they would get maximum sun during the day. While the lights aren’t bright enough to illuminate a walking path (which they’re not designed for), they did give off a nice, decorative warm white light for up to six hours on the “always on “ setting. Unfortunately, the solar panels have apparently been damaged by a recent string of rainy days. Both panels have a white film under the surface, and neither of them will now charge their batteries, even when exposed to full sun. Since the string of lights are wired into the solar panels, I’ll need to remove the lights along with the panels. I’d prefer to keep the lights - which took a while to attach to my fence - but the direct wiring means that I’ll need to discard them along with the defective panels. Since these are Solar string lights, they are meant to be used outside. But if the solar panels only last around 4 months before losing their waterproof seal, I can’t recommend them ... show more
