I waited about a week to post this review so I can only comment on the initial value and not the long term quality. My lights came packaged in a small unmarked box with the light lids individually wrapped and hangers loose. I’ve only used 4 of them so far with standard mouth Ball jars. All of the lights I’ve used were fine right from the packages with no issues of any not working. They’ve all fit perfectly. I got the warm light version and they are pretty bright. I have 3 of the 4 jars inside a screened in patio that get light for a few hours daily and at night the lights stay on for a long time so far. I’ve noticed them on for at least 7-8 hours. I’d say for the price these are a good value and seem like fairly good quality as far as these things go. We’ll see about any rust/water leakage I guess as time goes by, but for now I’m happy with the purchase. ***Update*** I just wanted to add that I’ve not had any water intrusion into the jars or light failures so far. If anyone is wonder if the lids are rustproof I can attest that they aren’t. Again, none have failed but both the kids and the hangers have begun to rust. It’s not a big deal for me, but I’m sure for some they’d like to know this. I’ve not used the rest of mine from the pack yet but when I do I’ll likely paint them before setting them outside anywhere. ... show more

These solar lights are beautiful. They are easy to assemble and last a long time. I bought them for my daughter and before she hung them outside she set them on a window sill and that night they were lit up and looked so pretty! She also left them outside all summer and winter and with all the rain and snow they did get some rust on the lids but were still working great the following summer! ... show more

These solar lids work really well - I'm in Florida so they get a great charge, and usually they're still going strong at 3am! Nice and bright but friendly lights and I have them on various shepherd's hooks throughout my garden. We had guests coming in May (we got married!) so I wanted the gardens to look nice. Well the lights look great but the tops....not so much. I guess I should have coated them with some kind of sealant (even nail polish!) and then they wouldn't have rusted so badly. BUT again - the lights are bright and pretty, and of course you can't see the rust at night! But if I bought them again I'd seal the tops with something. ... show more

I had these less than one year and now all of them have stopped working. Some let moisture in and I think that ruined them but others just stopped working for no reason. I hung the jars in our backyard under a tree where I knew they would get enough light. Most of the previous jar lids I bought lasted 3 years and thats what i would have expected from these.
