These are LED and I was afraid that they would give off a harsh light but they have a delightful warm glow that just seems to make you want to turn off the TV and go out and sit on the porch all evening. They came packaged well and were very easy to put up. We had a tremendous storm go through with tons of rain and high winds and the lights held up well. The wire is 20 gauge which is on the light end of required wiring for outdoors so only time will tell how long they last but for now, I am very happy with them and will definitely buy a few more to light up the back porch. ... show more
