Once you follow the instruction carefully, you will have great looking cross bars for your Rogue (mine is 2013). Same color as the side bars, so it looks OEM. I put a car rack (with luggages) over the cross bars and they held up well during 600 miles round trip A few things: 1. Follow the instruction carefully. I was hoping it would be more detailed, but it is enough. Pay Attention to labels. 2. If the cross bars do not easily go in to the bracket to align with the screw holes, use a mallet (not a hammer) to tap in the bar to the bracket. 3. If you live in a rainy area (I live in Seattle), after the installation, you want to spray the screws with Rust Oleum Stops Rust Spray (Matte Clear) to protect the screws from rusting over time. Make sure you cover the top of your roof before you spray. I love its usefulness and its sturdiness. Recommended! ... show more

I debated getting these over a universal type for half the price. I really wanted it to look steamline on my car rather than a bulky aftermarket one size fits most option. I decided to go for assurance that these would be good quality and have no worries considering the cost. They came today. First off, the cross bars themselves are a metal material but the brackets are plastic. I assumed they would be all metal... Guess I thought wrong and Im a little disappointed but thats life I guess. I also dont like how there couldnt be a way they hide these screws better... Maybe have silver washers, not black? Its just not aesthetically pleasing as I expected. The rear brackets came with an odd bolt in it. Nothing in the instructions about the mystery smooth nonthreaded bolt. Guess i dont need it? I put the brackets into the rear cross bar, not too much force needed. However the two holes on each side of the top only one of them on each side have threads. So where the instructions tell you on all 8 holes, front and back take the same 8 bolts and washers...you can really only screw into threads on 4 of the holes. Leaving a empty void for rain to leak in and fill your crossbars with water and no way to drain. So I said ok very poor design but I guess I'll just cover it with something so rain cannot get in. Then I got to putting the front brackets into the crossbar. They dont quite fit. They need to be sort of loose so adjustments can be made when screwing them into racks buuuut the last good inch of the front brackets I am having to bang in. I only used my hand as I dont want to use a hammer on the plastic and break it. I cannot get it in all the way. Even once I go buy a mallet and try not to crack the brackets since so much force is needed they are not going to be adjustable once i get them up on the roof and am installing them soooo Im gonna try but dont have high hopes. Maybe I'll get lucky and I wont have to adjust it? Here's to hoping... ... show more

Thank you to the person who said to use needle nose pliers to remove the lugs from factory racks! Very helpful! To buyers: USE NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS TO REMOVE WIRED LUGS! Such a time saver! So much easier to remove. Once you remove the lugs, the crossbars are very simple to install! I did it myself and it took me all of 15 minutes. You’ll see that they’re labeled FR/FL or RR/RL. Just means front right/ front left and rear right/rear left. Crossbars are perfect to strap my surfboards to. ... show more

Fits my 2018 Rogue perfectly and matches color exactly! Very easy to install. The most difficult part of the installation was removing the hole plugs Nissan inserts in the mounting holes. For those concerned about self installation, here are instructions: Always protect your vehicle roof with something like a towel where ever you are working! Before beginning, remove the inserts from the mounting holes (if there are any) and loosen (do not remove) the four screws holding each crossbar together. 1. Select one crossbar to install 2. Position the crossbar on your roof protection at the correct location, facing the correct direction (the crossbars are labelled for both) 3. Position one end of the crossbar and, using your fingers only, start the two screws for that end. Screw them in only enough to insure they won't fall out while you continue the installation. Leave them loose enough that the end of the crossbar will wiggle when you move it. 4. Repeat #3 for the other end. 5. When you are confident that you have the correct positioning and all four screws started, then hand tighten all four mounting screws, and then use the enclosed allen wrench to tighten all four mounting screws. 6. Now re-tighten all four screws that connect the three pieces of that crossbar together. Never tighten any screw to the point that you are in danger of stripping the threads or the screw head. 7. Repeat #2 thru #6 for the other crossbar ... show more
