I thought these were quite easy to install. Fit exactly as described and pictured, pretty easy to adjust location and Crossbar for centering. No tools required, except Scissors to cut Wind Deflectors that go on Bottom of Overhang. They are very nice looking and appear to me to be very good quality. Update, Feb 2, 2023: Drove up to Mt Rose with the Cross Bars (only) and could not hear any sound at all coming from these, got uo to 70+MPH. Also opened sun block and looked back up, front as I placed was almost invisible due to support member in sunroof, could not look back at rear bar location. So far really great cross bars.

These are good looking bars. NOTE: The strip down the middle is not a pad like a Thule evo, it’s just weather stripping. As you assemble these you’ll see they aren’t the quality of a high dollar bar, but once they’re on your car they look as good IMO and they are sturdy feeling, so I don’t anticipate issues with practical performance. When Thule bars are 3-4x the price… I’m going with these. Customer service was awesome. I needed extra wind deflectors for mounting on my 2013 XC90 and they responded to my chat immediately and had the parts shipped that day. Easy enough to install and all four mounts lock.

I almost didn’t buy these because of some of reviews that said the instructions were bad and the installation was difficult. I’m glad I didn’t listen! Yes, the instructions could be more descriptive but if you have ever assembled anything you’ll find it easy to install these crossbars. I put them on my 2020 Ford Explorer in 30 minutes, and they worked great! Easy to install and sturdy! Good product! (And nobody paid me for this review.)

I’ve had this installed on my roof for less than a year and Thule snowboarding/ski rack attached. From our recent trip, these( front and then rear) lost grip to the roof side bars whiling the car was moving on freeway and Thule snowboard rack attached to it carrying all our snowboards flew away. Fortunately, there were no other cars following us. It could have been the worst if those actually hit the following cars. I locked both these latches and Thule snowboard latches, but these roof bar latches couldn’t hold grip anymore. We have been using this roof bar almost a year and used with roof basket as well. For those who plan on using this, I would strongly recommend check check check and confirm the connection pieces are tight before you make your trip. As times go by, it might not be safe to use.

Make sure you get the right size for your car because the tool is too short if your bars hang over the side. I needed them to on one side for the boats I carry. But they look great, fit great, and are solid. Would recommend. And the whistle everyone talks about is real, but not horrible. Most all bars make some noise.
