  • Nice Sturdy Roof Cross Bars
Color: Silver
I just got a 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid. I didn't want to spend the money on the roof rails so I chose these. I was a little skeptical on the installation and quality of the product. The product itself is good quality and comes with extra pieces and good instructions. The installation took about 2 hours. I would say read through the instruction and take your time. Making sure you have the cross bars facing the right direction and especially when your are lifting the railing up and cutting it. I would also recommend putting threatlocker like Loctite over the threads of the screws so they don't unscrew over time. I really like the quality and look of these bars. I drove around the neighborhood at 25 to 30 miles and did not hear any noise. I will drive the freeway and see. I will update my review when that happens. ... show more

  • 2017 CRV EXL - Fits great. Love them. Buy them.
Color: Silver
Love these roof racks. Strong, sturdy, looks great, and not nearly as loud as I thought they would be after reading these reviews. Can't notice a difference at all when windows are up and music is just low as that is how I, and I assume, most people drive. Definitely no whistle or anything like that that you may read about in reviews. I'll preface this with the fact that I'm a regular dude. If all you have is a Dremel and a brain, you can do this. There are special instructions on installing wind deflectors that some people may have skipped. Basically small plastic tabs that block the wind from whistling through the ends of the cross bars. I also turned them around from the way the instructions say. It made more sense to have the curved, less angular side facing into the wind (as most aero cross bars go), so thats what I did. The instructions also say that you can turn them around if it is noisy, so I figured I would just start with them backwards - turned out perfect. Also, small note, that may or may not make a difference: each bar has a small amount of room to slide forward or back (less than an inch) and I choose to slide them as far away from each other as possible. I was also very picky about making sure they were set up perfectly even from drivers to passenger's side - again not sure if that makes a difference in sound or not. As for the roof molding: definitely do some research as to how to remove it without damaging. I didn't damage mine, luckily, but I can see how you could easily. Basically, from the side of the car, you need to pull the molding towards you then lift the closer edge up to remove without snapping the plastic anchors. I snapped a few just winging it, but they were the ones attached to the bolts, so I didn't need them anyway. I cut the molding using a Dremel with cutting wheel - definitely wear eye protection as plastic and metal fly everywhere when you cut through the molding. Also, make sure the cut is really close to where the bolts come up. ... show more

  • Well made, affordable
Color: Silver
Fairly simple to install if you have basic tools. Be careful removing the trim on the car as it bends fairly easily. I used a dremel to get straight cuts but a simple hack saw could do. The hardest part is cutting the trim aside from that fairly straight forward. They do whistle at highway speeds, however with music on and the windows up you can’t even tell. Haven’t seen my gas mileage decrease at all either. Overall great buy and would recommend. ... show more

  • Easy to Install
Color: Silver
I bought these to haul our canoe around, and perhaps to put a luggage basket up top in future. I found the instructions clear, the install took less than an hour at home, and the fit is great with virtually no noise when driving. Make sure you leave or reinstall the inside wind guards or you will get noise. The extra windwards are to be cut for the small end cap section. I found removing, marking and cutting (I used a hand hack saw) the Honda roof rail strips to be fairly easy. I did break one section of one clip, but there are some clips removed in the install process you can recycle, also the shoes of the rail are bolted down and will retain the strips better than any plastic clip. I was also very happy when the cross bars went through the auto car wash without any trouble. Well worth the price. ... show more

  • Used it for the first time, might be better than the factory one installed on my Lexus 350
Color: Silver
Installed this in about an hour on my 2012 Honda CRV. Extremely simple "diy". Used next day to travel to Toronto from NYC. Roughly 10 hours with stops. Held my Thule Cargo with zero issues. No rattling, shaking, etc. Unbelievably cheaper option than getting it installed. Did the same road trip with a factory installed crossbars on my Lexus 350 and my Cargo holder shook more on that thing. This thing is awesome. Very happy with it. ... show more

  • These are great, but tricky to install.
Color: Silver
I never leave reviews, but I found some of them helpful on here and I always read them. The instructions and the reviews were extremely helpful! Especially the one review that said to install them backwards because looking at the instructions and they way they are suppose to sit on the car doesn’t make sense arrow dynamically. I installed them backwards and no whistling sounds like the other reviews state. I also want to point out to not tighten the nuts on one side all the way first because you won’t be able to tighten the other side. Plus be mindful of the rubber cover as you tighten the nuts because some of it will get stuck underneath if you are not careful. When cutting the mold it does not have to be exactly 1/2 inch away from the bolt. Just make sure there is enough room to see them between the molding. Also, I had to use ppe because of the sparks from the dremel when I was cutting the molding because mine had metal strips in them. The instructions were pretty easy to read and I had no idea of what I was doing and did a great job. Learning experience for sure. Good luck and have fun on your adventures!! ... show more

  • Wind noise
Color: Silver
It whistles from the wind. I Had to plug the open hole on the slats on top to stop the whistling.
