I bought this roof rack for my 2019 Toyota Highlander XLE. It came with alot of dealer installed extras (it was the eye-catcher floor model), so I decided to not have them add on little things that weren't game-breakers, but I still wanted them. I've bought and installed a bunch if aftermarket items like internal LED floor lighting, leather inserts for the wheel and cupholders, and a vinyl protector for the back of the third row seats to protect the leather. Saved me hundreds of dollars off the sticker price. My last two vehicles were SUVs with roof racks which I utilized quite a bit, so I wanted them for my HL as well. The dealer, of course, was willing to sell me OEM racks for about $450. No thank you. After much research, I settled on these roof racks. Been on my HL for about a week now, and I have no complaints. They are an almost graphite gray color, so they blend with the chrome silver and rest of the car's color scheme (not perfect match of course), but I know that the finish won't scratch off with use. They feel very solid, so I can imagine that they are capable of holding a couple hundred pounds if necessary. I drive 80 miles round trip each day to and from work. With the windows down or up, moonroof opened or closed, A/C on or off, I've heard no sounds of drag or poor airflow around them. I also love that they give such a nice (again, floormodel) vehicle a much more rugged look to it. I was surprised that such a simple addon made such a difference in its exterior appeal. My only issue with installation was that little things weren't addressed in the hardcopy or video instructions. For example, the metal gaskets that sit within the bolts' housing do not stay threaded. Once you lift either rack up out of the box and the bolt housing falls loose with gravity, its weight will pull the gasket right off the bolt threads. I just kept one of the bolt assemblies off until I connect one side properly. I had to do a round-robin to fully tighten each side, but it was better than looking underneath my car for the other side's gasket after it fell out. Also, the included allen wrench is of poor quality, so you should use a proper one from your own toolbox to prevent stripping the screwheads which allow each rack to expand or contract. In any case, very minor issues which were easily overcome - installed in under an hour. Save yourself money at the dealership and put these off racks in yourself. Well worth the low cost and a little time.

Look great. Higher Quality Product than most. Easy to install. Covers are fine, not cheap at all. They just snap on very tight so you need to be sure you have them installed as instructed. I had to whack one with my fist pretty hard to get it to stay on, but the other 3 went on with just a little force. I recommend putting a cover on prior to installing just so you can see how they lock on, then you will know when installing you did it correctly. I don't recommend listening to the reviews where people lost their covers, because they obviously didn't read the instructions. Would definitely buy again.

Love these silver crossbars for our 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited. Our car is pearl white with all silver accents. Crossbars from Toyota are only offered in black, and that would not do for our white car. I was so happy to find these on Amazon, and I received them in perfect condition two days after ordering. My husband said instructions were good, installation was easy, the fit is solid, and the bars are sturdy; same quality as the black ones we purchased from the Toyota dealership for our black 2014 Highlander. We have traveled with a luggage carrier attached, and we also just returned from a 2K mile trip with no luggage carrier attached. We drove speeds of 80-85 mph on open highway with no wind noise whatsoever from the empty bars. These crossbars look fabulous and function perfectly. We are extremely pleased and are so glad to have found them. Highly recommend.

These are amazing just as original as the ones you purchase from Toyota themselves except a small issue. I went with you all since Toyota is on back order for a while, I did see great reviews but a few regarding the cap that you clip at the end of each bar how alpt of people lost theirs or it didn't even up and that was the case for my Left rear cap when i placed it on the first day all aligned but that so I took the bar off to redo it measurement and still had a small section showing so I lightly tugged it and it seems pretty secure until today....... I had a long travel and had a 70 mph high way I happen to look at my rear view mirror and bang there goes the cap down the High way !!! I was actually shocked lol and annoyed glad no one was behind me so now I'm left with one open section. If you may let me know what I can do about that as I wish to not let that stay open. But other than that fast shipping Great quality bars easy to hook up held some kayaks and luggage so far, I would give 5 stars but that one cap issue from the beginning.

Glad I used a torque wrench. It would have difficult to judge how much to tighten the brackets. They were straightforward to install. Good directions.

These were a gift for my daughter. Fit her highlander well. They did not mention any trouble with assembly, screw issues, or noise. I have ridden in the highlander since they were put on and haven't noticed any noise. They have not removed them for since they were put on about a year ago. They have taken many long trips using them. They use cargo carrier it works well.

These fit my 2017 Highlander well. We recently used them to hold a lightweight carrier in vacation, with no issues. I think I'll use them to hold longer boards and plywood as well. As a bonus, they help me find my car easier in the parking lot.

I echo others here -- these are solid and easy to install crossbars. I have not tried them with my luggage carrier yet, so cannot comment on the practical sturdiness, but they feel sold installed. I think they will do the trick. As others noted, it takes about 30 min to install. You can do it on your own, but helps a little to have 2 to line up the cross bars. You do need to adjust the length a bit before tightening the allen wrench screws on the underside of the bar. Adjusting the length helps make the bars fit more easily into the side roof rails. I put them on, adjusted length, then removed and tightened the allen wrench screws before putting them back on the roof and bolting them on. I did not have a plastic trim removal tool to take the plastic tabs off the side roof rails. I used a small screw driver wrapped in a eyeglass cleaning cloth. See picture. Worked great. No damage to plastic parts and they came off easily. The other pictures show that the silver color of these matches nicely with a white car with silver side rails. My vehicle is a 2016 Highlander
