I truly do love the look of this lamp and it is perfect for over my desk. HOWEVER, I don't know if I got a weird one or not, but it took a half hour of rocking the lamp to the base back and forth to get it on. If there was a remote control, then it was NOT shipped to me, TWICE! I bought 2 units of Brightech Sparq Arc Floor Lamp separately. I like the design but the brightness could be stronger, I feel that it is like a night table's light strength, even milder/darker than some night table's light in hotels. By today's specs for LED lighting fixtures, I guess it could be stronger (more Lumen) and different temperatures (3000-6000k) and with a remote control since the on/off button is a bit shorter/awkward to be placed on a living room table, in my view. ... show more
