I mainly notice how insufficient they are when I'm trying to play games and we can't read the cards. Feeling so grateful for others reviews as I was deciding to try this lamp, I write this for the benefit of others who want to satisfy specific needs with their lighting. I needed bright lighting in two specific areas , both of which required ample lighting where accurate, functional ceiling lights are not available in my rental space. (1) kitchen area in prepping food, cutting veggies, etc., etc.; & (2) near my sewing table area. I think the second light on the lamp, at 60W, is too bright for reading. In my opinion, it is not a lamp for a cozy relaxing spot. It is a light adequately bright for accomplishing things, it is bright enough for any purpose. The second light is quite bright & is flexible to bend as needed. I am very happy with the first one (kitchen) & so I ordered another for sewing area. Easy to assemble, very sturdy, exactly what I was looking for. It’s not fancy & yes, globes are plastic but I highly recommend this lamp if you need a bright lamp. ... show more

    • I needed an inexpensive floor lap with these exact features and it worked out fine.

Even tho it maybe tilts a little standing on the rug (I haven’t fiddled with it) and that it’s flimsy and contains thin cheap plastic, I give it 5 stars for being exactly what I was expecting, exactly what I was looking for, and completely functional. The only thing I don’t like about it aesthetically is that the top bulb sticks above the lamp shade. Don’t start assembly without your WD-40, it goes smoothly after than. Assembly is simple but kinda cumbersome. I think assembly would be similar for any two-lamp floor lamp sold here or anywhere. It helps to have an assistant keep unwinding the cord from around your body, so you don’t; become part of the permanent installation. The lamp is well weighted at the base it’s fine for a tight corner and use by adults. I wouldn’t put this in a play room. The fact it comes with correct bulbs is a plus, no hassle. If you’ve bought bulbs lately you know they are expensive. (The functionality I was looking for was something th shine up at the white ceiling to brighten up the whole room, PLUS have a light that could be angled down for reading in bed, with a reachable switch.) Similar to other reviewers, my product arrived in very poor assembly order. The parts of the pole are threaded by the power cord but in the wrong order and direction. There’s no way to correct this without permanently damaging the lamp. I contacted the manufacturer who apologized and promised to send a replacement immediately. They did not request that the defective product be returned. The replacement has not arrived yet but only three days have passed. I will update this review if and when the replacement arrives. Update: The replacement product arrived when promised, five days after shipping from the warehouse. The replacement is assembled correctly and it was easily and quickly put together. I love the lamp and it is exactly as described. It’s perfect for the dark corner in our living room. Although the white lampshades are plastic instead of glass, they look as close to glass as they possibly could look without the weight of glass. ( If they were glass, they would ad a lot of weight to the top of a very tall lamp and might cause a top-heavy condition negatively affecting the stability.)
