I absolutely love these lamps! I ordered 2. For some reason one arrived a day later than the other, but that’s my only “complaint”. They were packaged exceptionally well, and when you open the box it looks like a hurricane of crap, but almost everything is pre-connected. The base of these lamps is incredibly solid. It’s very heavy and the whole unit does not look cheap. I also love that these are taller than the average cheap-o Walmart lamps (pic of our old one for comparison). The large lamp head has a dimmer which i didn’t realize when i ordered so that was an extra bonus. The lamp shades are also screwed into place, whereas most just pop in and can fall off if not placed right. The pieces all screw into each other, no tools or hardware needed. They also stand perfectly straight on my carpet which my old one did not, the base was much lighter so it leaned. I bought this lamp and tried to put together. Has taken over two hours for a simple assembly. Lamp is not threaded correctly will not allow me to put together appropriately did to threading being inaccurate.. Extremely disappointment.. Called customer service extremely nice and helpful. Said they will send another. Will update on progress. They sent a replacement in a timely manner. It worked perfect. Awesome customer service. I am changing my stars.     • Everything I needed in a 3 Way Torchiere floor lamp

This floor lamp hit all our needs. I live in Canada and couldn't find anything close to this. For us, this had (all positives for us) 1) 3 lamps with individual on / off buttons 2) top light (the one pointing to the ceiling) is a 3-way 3) adjustable reading lamps 4) modern looking and very sturdy 5) all light bulbs were provided - no need to shop for bulbs The only 2 things I notice that could improve is: 1) you can see the top bulb protrude slightly when you are about six feet away from it. Someone mentioned this is in a review. I understand why as the 3 Way light bulb is larger than traditional bulbs. Maybe the manufaturer can add an inch or so to the top lamp shade. 2) one of the the adjustable reading lamps is not as sturdy as I believe it should be (it sags a little but is still workable) In my opinion, this floor lamp provides excellent value and is a great buy. this lamp certainly will light up a whole room, blindingly so! even with just the top uplight on 3-way lowest setting. if u are over 5' tall, you can see the bare bulb sticking out above the uplight, a major unpleasant feature. it is sturdy and stands straight, u can tell it is a quality piece, even the lightbulbs are included. the side lights have strong and handy adjustable arms. assembly was not a major problem, but easier with 2 people. the cord is already threaded thru, but screwing the parts together twists the cord tightly inside; can't figure out how to avoid that. as u can tell, this piece is a mixed bag for me. a well-made lamp but too stark and bright for my living room ambiance. taking it apart and repacking it would be a nightmare so I am keeping it, but do wish I had purchased something else - live and learn. ... show more

I bought this lamp for my elderly parents' small apartment. The lighting in their apartment is adequate, but where they have their recliners was a rather dark corner of the room. This triple standing light was perfect! One side of the lamp is facing my father's chair and the other is facing my mother's. Should they need even MORE light, they switch on the top bulb. This lamp looks great in their room, does not take up much room itself, has a heavy base that will not tip over, and the gooseneck side lamps are such a blessing. Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Hopefully the second time is the charm, as the first one we received was defective in both structure and function. The photos depict this first one. The threads were canted in the pole and the lights flickered in a haunted kind of a way. I just assembled version number two. So far it looks much more promising. I do have assembly suggestions that may help. First, I’d suggest a pair of nitrile gloves to help in assembly. The pole is slippery, and you’ll want to be able to grip it tightly to twist the pole segments tightly. Second, after unboxing the item, I’d suggest plugging it in and testing all three bulbs in their sockets together before going to the trouble of assembling the entire item. If they don’t work or if it starts flickering, you can save yourself the trouble of assembling. Regarding the assembly, the instructions suggested to start from the base, which I did the first time. I had trouble from the start with the threads not lining up properly. I tried to twist the sections together more tightly thinking that I could overcome the canted position, but not only could I not, but I couldn’t get it untwisted from the base because the screw came off the base, instead of the pole loosening from the screw. The other issue is that there is a lot of redundant cord in the poles that will have to be pulled through the bottom pole section at some point. So for me, it made more sense to start with the top so I could pull the cord through each section. For screwing the pole onto the base, I did try having the pole on its side and twirling the base onto it to avoid the problem of the cord spinning around the pole. But the heavy base made it awkward and cumbersome, so I’d still recommend twisting the assembled pole onto the base while it’s upright, rather than lying on its side. Thread gently and carefully. If it doesn’t go on straight to begin with, you won’t be able to save it at the end. Minor shortcomings with the finished product (even the non-haunted one) are that the shades are made of plastic, which feels a little cheap and flimsy but I’ll admit that it functions fine. The included LED lightbulbs are a nice bonus, if you don’t get flickering ones (and I don’t know whether it was the lamp itself that caused the flickering or the bulbs).
