I've tried numerous "garden" or "muk-type" boots/shoes and ALL have created significant food pain. These are the only ones that fit amazing and don't cause any pain what-so-ever. They come with a super thin insoles that, quite frankly, you wonder why they bother with an insole at all. The insoles do not last long. I replaced mine with a favorite dr. sholl insert that works quite well. Also recommend wearing moisture wicking socks as your feet will sweat like crazy in these. I bought a pair of size 11 for myself, love them. Great fit. I wear 10/10.5 normally in shoes. I talked my wife into buying a pair - she was NOT willing at first. She finally ordered a size 9. She wears a size 8/8.5 women's WIDE shoe and a size 7.5/8 in men's regular in sneakers. She said these are NOT for people with wide calves. She has "athletic" calves, and needs wide calf boots. Solved the problem, though, by ordering extra long knee socks so they don't rub her legs. Now she wears them everywhere outside. She is an avid gardener and is building a big vegetable garden as well as a woodland garden of flowers and such. She tromps all through the wet ground, dry ground, leaves, everything. She wanted me to add - Dunlop assured her through email that they are latex free. They were fast and thorough in replying to her - even contacted one of the chemists to give a reply! AWESOME JOB DUNLOP! She has had no issues with the boots causing any allergic reaction. We can't guarantee all others will feel the same, but maybe this gives some comfort to those searching. Email them and ask for yourself before buying! She also added she wishes they came in half sizes. She feels the 9 is a bit loose on her feet, which slide a little in the boot while doing heavy yard work. She is going to add an extra insole to see if that helps. But otherwise great fit. Finally found a pair of boots that stand up to my gardening style. I usually go through at least 2-3 pairs of gardening boots every year. Every Spring, Summer & Fall I’m reworking my 8 flower beds. I’m digging, sloshing through mud & water. In the past, the gardening boots I’ve wore would always bust open around the seams. There’s nothing like the feeling of muddy water leaking inside your boots. I decided this year that I was going to get a pair that would hold up to my wear and tear. I’m rough on my boots and I definitely put them through the test. The sole on these boots is extremely durable and so is the material that they’re made out of. The only thing I wish they had, and I’m not even sure gardening boots have this, is a cushioned sole. To me, this isn’t a deal breaker. The fact that they haven’t leaked or came apart is AMAZING! I bought these for power-washing and they are pretty terrific, especially considering the price. They're a nice height and comfortable to wear and walk in for hours at a time.
