This lamp was easy to assemble and the quality is good as I suspected since it's by Brightech. My only issue is with the adjustment knob which fell off into my hand the first time i tried to adjust the globe to another angle. The knob was extremely hard to put back in because the cord runs through it and the two parts have little teeth that have to be aligned in order to fit together. I thought I'd have to return the lamp after multiple tries to reconnect it. The following day I had success. I feel the knob has a design flaw, otherwise it's a nice lamp. The positioning up/down pole is fine, but I will never adjust the globe position again. It's hard to see, but the second photo shows the knob detached. The lamp comes with the knob already attached to the switch mechanism. Excellent packaging and fast arrival.

I have purchased three. The base is weighted well (though the surface does ding a bit more than I wish), it provides a good amount of light and is very nice looking. One of them had a problem (globe separated from the base, so that it was left dangling) and customer service was great, sending the needed part for repair. Thank you Brightech. I think it's a great lamp for the price.

Solid construction and has the ability to adjust height using a parallel rail next to the main stand rail. Have only used it once and when these type of lights fail they usually do so in the first year; so if it does fail later, I will try to update the review.

The assembly was pretty easy, and the lamp appears to be quite sturdy. We like the look of it. The only downside is that it’s not a 3-way switch.

the upright is 3 screw together pieces, not a solid pole, but we will see how it gos, really bright, adjusts easily

There are so many things I really like about this lamp. So much so, that I ordered one for my husband. I left one section out so it's the perfect height for what I need right now. Things I like: 1. It can handle a 100W bulb and the bulb can be replaced. 2. The lampshade is adjustable up and down and side to side. You can have the nob tight so it doesn't move. You can also leave the nob loose so you can move the lampshade side to side as needed. 3. The base really is heavy so it won't fall over when my dog bumps it. 4. The finish is very nice and I like that it has a 3-year warranty. I really like this lamp. If Brightech wants 5 stars, this lamp needs a 3-way socket. A 40/60/100W would be a nice improvement. A 50/100/150W socket would definitely rate 5 stars and make this the perfect lamp for us.
