  • works great
Style: Engine
Engine works great. note motor mount holes are not threaded. No tap required, just used bolts from previous engine. Aluminum was soft enough for air hammer to cut/mount. Just don't over tighten. Added oil and gas, it started right up. Pull rope was not long enough to extend up to push bar handle so i purchased a longer pull string. ... show more

  • Defective Engine
Style: Engine
I ordered the engine for my Huskavarna AWD lawnmower to replace one with a bent shaft. The shaft size (not listed in the description) was 3.2 inches long by 25mm diameter or 63/64 in inches which I was able to adapt to the mower with a little extra work. I filled it with oil and gas and it started on the first pull, but guess what? It ran for about 30 seconds and self destructed. It attempted to start several times but was very noisy and failed to run. It appears by the reviews that some are good and others bad, so there’s probably a 50/50 chance of getting a good one. I was able to get a refund but had to dispose of it myself. Hat’s off to Amazon for taking care of the problem. ... show more

  • Great!
Style: Engine
Note: I ordered one from Scrapdaddy, they sent the wrong engine. Amazon was great and took care of it for me. Then I ordered one from Acme Tools, they sent the right engine! Great engine! I replaced it on my craftsman M125 push mower. Super easy to do. So many people have commented that the holes are not threaded. This is on purpose. When you remove the bolts from your old engine, reuse them. The engine mount bolts are designed to cut the threads as well. If you try a regular bolt it will snap. I installed the engine with my impact drill. These self-threading bolts are what keeps the engine tight and secure on the frame. ... show more

  • Great factory replacement for husqvarna!!!
Style: Engine
My mower is alive. I bent the shaft on my engine and it was impossible to cut the grass. This engine was really easy to install. It fired up on the first pull. It did smoke and spit oil for a couple mins but once it burned all the oil out from shipping it ran great. It was shipped with a quarter cup of oil in the motor. All i had to do is dump old oil out, fill up motor with new oil, thread bolts in motor, then put the motor on.. Its the same engine I had on my mower just different color cover. I ordered a used engine and it was not used at all. They just open box and returned. I am so happy with my purchase. The factory bolts are self tapping so you dont need any special tools to install the motor. update!!! My mower is still running strong 3 years later. I have upgraded to a larger yard so I just use this mower for areas my large walk behind cant get to. Still very happy with the replacement engine. ... show more

  • Mounting
Style: Engine
I would like to point out that the mounting plate is not threaded. So you can't just take it out of the box and bolt it up you need to tap the mounting plate before you can bolt it up. It should be listed in the description that this needs to be done.

  • Do better on the packaging and shipping and we're good.
Style: Engine
The engine arrived quickly, but the packaging looked kind of cobbled together and the governor bracket was bent due to this. The mounting holes are untapped, but this will take 10 minutes if you have a proper tap. Once I did this and mounted the engine, I then had leverage to bend the governor bracket into the correct position and the engine started first pull and it runs well. It has plenty of power to cut high grass and is fairly quiet. I gave it 4/5 for the packaging alone. ... show more

  • Do Not Purchase This Engine!
Style: Engine
Do Not Purchase This Engine! Two weeks ago I purchased one from this seller. The engine ran once to cut my lawn. That’s all! A week later this brand new engine won’t start. The seller does not accept returns, even on a faulty engine they sell. They will not replace it either!

  • Great price. Works as it should!!! Thanks!

Great price for a brand new motor that someone returned as open box. Runs very well. Used all last summer with no problems. Easy install on old frame too. Changed oil and prepped engine for winter storage. Thanks very much! 5-Year Review: Briggs engine still runs very well, like a new engine!!! I couldn't be happier than I am with this 725EXi engine purchase!! Works as it should ! I hope to provide you a 10-year review!! Cheers! ... show more
