I'm so impressed with the quality of the build, the accessories and everything about this oven. It's always a joy to use a product that is well-made and thoughtfully designed. It's very easy to use and all the controls are straightforward and logical. It's quite a bit larger than I was expecting but that's great. I could definitely fit a medium size turkey in it. And it has great versatility -- I use it for everything from reheating to air frying. And the tray on the bottom slides out and makes cleaning a snap. My one and only complaint seems trivial but it's about the light. It comes on when you open the door and that's great but when you press the button to turn it on while your food is cooking, it stays on for ~30 seconds. If you're cooking something that you need to keep a close eye on it's very annoying to constantly have to turn it back on. But that only stands out because it's an otherwise flawless product. ... show more

    • We love the oven, and the excellent support behind it.
We bought one of these brand new in 2017 for $399. My wife heard about it on a cooking channel she follows, and HAD to have one. She loved it....and I learned to love it as well. We were living in a tiny house at the time and did all of our cooking in the Breville and an Instant Pot. We're back in a full size house, and still cook like that. Our big oven is just another storage cabinet for baking pans and frying pans. I was really impressed a few years back when squirrels chewed through the neutral on our power service. Suddenly our normal household electrical service was putting out 240V. In addition to some smaller things, we lost an refrigerator and a printer. But the Breville still worked as well as ever after...probably because it's designed for dual voltage. Anyway....our 2017 Breville finally stopped working early this year. Hardly a day passed that we didn't use it for 6 years. We decided to buy the renewed version for $299 to save $100. (Isn't it amazing that you can still buy one new on Amazon for $399 6 years later with the way prices have shot up on everything else?). I bought the Asurion 4-year electronics protection plan. I've had good luck with Asurion. So right out of the box, first time we hit the power button, there was this scary rattle. We quickly hit the power button, and then started the oven again. It worked fine with no noise, and we used it for several more weeks before the noise happened again. Long story short, the noise happened only rarely.....but began to get a bit louder each time. Finally started sounding loud enough that we were afraid something was getting ready to break. YouTube has several videos of Breville Fan noise that sound like what we were experiencing. This was about 4 months into owning it. We contacted Asurion, and they said that we were still covered by Breville's warranty and should contact them. So we did. Let me tell you that Breville took care of us in a very helpful and timely way. They sent us packing materials to ship the unit in for service. In a little less than 2 weeks we got a return shipment. They paid shipping both ways. Turns out they sent us a brand new renewed oven. No complaints. Just started using the replacement, and it works like a charm. The whole process worked like it should.     • Beautiful, EXPENSIVE, but FLAWED!
If you are a real cook and/or baker, you will have problems with this oven. Every time I received a beep telling me that it had reached the proper temperature on preheat, it was 100 degrees F below the set temperature. Wreaks havoc with timed bakes and cooks, which require adding more time to the recipe OR the auto programmed bake times. Furthermore, It requires constant checking, since you do not know exactly how much time to add, to make sure it is not over or underdone. It also increases the chance of burning the top of your pie/cake/other food because the heating coils stay active after allegedly reaching the proper preheat temperature to continue to heat the oven the additional 100 degrees. You could not ask for a better looking countertop oven, or one more adaptable, but if you are a real cook or baker, seeking the elusive perfection we all desire, why would you and Breville put up with such a fundamental flaw in a VERY expensive toaster oven? ... show more

    • All in one kitchen device that does it all better!
This is the kitchen thing you didn’t know you needed. It’s a quick warming miniature oven that can proof your dough before baking the bread and toasting the it to toast. And all over it is no more than a quick flick of a dial and a button press. In my house my gas oven makes the whole kitchen hot. This cures that as well as getting warm nearly instantly. I bought the re-furbished and a 3 year warranty. I have a small ding on the door but nothing dramatic, and a better than factory warranty. Highly recommend! As a bonus, this is easier to clean crumbs out of than my old normal toaster. This thing is a bit large. So make sure you have a big enough area plus the 6 inch buffer on the top and sides. ... show more

This oven has never been used. It does not operate and constantly displays an error message. What can be done to get help or return this item? A gift card was used.
